The invention relates to a microswitch comprising a housing, a switching plunger arranged in displaced relationship with the center of said housing and projecting from said housing, contacts which are arranged on the housing side located opposite the switching plunger, and a contact bridge which is adapted to be transferred from a first to a second switching position through the switching plunger and a bistable spring, said switching plunger being provided with a cantilevered arm which projects on one side and on the projecting end of which a downholder is provided for positive opening of the contact bridge. In order to improve a microswitch of the type mentioned at the beginning in such a way that its overall size can be reduced still further and that a reliable positive opening operation will take place, the present invention is so conceived that, on the switching plunger side located opposite the cantilevered arm, a support projection is arranged, which acts on a resilient part of the spring in spaced relationship with the switching plunger, in such a way that, when the switching plunger is pressed down, a moment (M) will be applied via the support projection to the cantilevered arm of the switching plunger in the opening direction of the contact bridge.

Microswitch

A microswitch comprising a housing, a switching tappet, connection contacts connected with fixed contacts positioned in the interior of said housing, and a contact bridge with at least one switching contact movable from a first to a second switching position by way of the switching tappet. The contact bridge is held in its first or second switching position by means of a bistable spring arrangement. The microswitch has structurally simple forced, separation means without any necessity for change in the overall size. Its switching tappet is provided with a cantilever with a holding-down device at one end which, in the first switching position of the contact bridge is arranged at a small distance from said contact bridge and which, in the second switching position, projects into the path along which the contact bridge moves.

Bistable microswitch

A microswitch with a housing and base from which connection contacts project which are adapted to be sealed with respect to the housing by means of a sealing compound and which include receptors for connecting electrical lines thereto. The microswitch is usable under different environmental conditions and with as many identical structural components as possible without causing any change in the overall size. For receiving the sealing compound, the base is provided with a troughlike recess which is surrounded by walls on at least three sides, with the connection contacts each having a separating line extending within the recess and with each being cuttable to length at this separating line in such a way that the remaining residual parts still end within the recess. The remaining residual parts are also provided with receptors for connecting electrical lines thereto.
