The invention relates to a device () for connecting a wiper blade () to a wiper arm () of a windshield wiper in an articulated manner, which comprises a joining element (), which is joined in a fixed manner to the wiper arm (), and a connecting element (), which is joined in a fixed manner to a supporting element () of the wiper blade () and on which a plastic adapter () is pivotally mounted. The adapter () is fixed in the profile of the joining element (), said profile being open toward the connecting element (), by means of fastening means (). The invention provides that a filler piece () is placed in the joining element () on the side facing the wiper arm () following the adapter (). Said filler piece rests tightly against the inside walls of the joining element () and against the adjacent face of the adapter ().

Device for connecting a wiper blade to a wiper arm of a windshield wiper in an articulated manner

A device is proposed which is used to detachably connect a wiper blade () to clean windows, particularly of motor vehicles, to a driven wiper arm () featuring a wiper blade holder (or), whereby the wiper blade () that can be placed on the window () with a long-stretched-out, rubber elastic wiper strip () features a band-like, long-stretched-out elastic supporting element () that is curved in the longitudinal direction over its band surfaces () on whose lower, concave band surface () the wiper strip () is arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis. On the outer convex band surface () of the supporting element () sits a connecting element (), which features two parallel wall surfaces () mat are aligned in a vertical plane on the band surface and extend in the longitudinal direction of the wiper blade and that a pivot pin () projects from each wall surface, whereby the longitudinal axes of the two pivot pins are aligned with one another. An especially simple embodiment of the articulated connection with an integrated connecting device is achieved if an adapter (or) that can move in a pendulum fashion is positioned on the two pivot pins of the connecting element (), and said adapter features means to connect to the wiper blade holder (or) of the wiper arm ().

A windshield wiper blade comprises a composite supporting bracket frame pivotally connected with a driven wiper arm and including a plurality of frame components, at least some of the components being provided with holding claws, and elongated wiper strip composed of an elastic material and guided in the holding claws, the wiper strip having a strip back which is engaged by the holding claws and has end portions extending outwardly beyond the claws and a longitudinal opening, the wiper strip having a longitudinal wiper lip adapted to abut against a windshield to be wiped and an elastic reinforcing rail received in the longitudinal opening of the strip back and having a length substantially corresponding to a length of the wiper strip, the longitudinal opening of the strip back being formed as a circularly closed throughgoing passage with a cross-section corresponding to the cross-section of the reinforcing rail, the reinforcing rail having at least one longitudinal side provided with two expansions which are spaced from one another and extending outwardly beyond its cross-section so as to form securing means for securing the wiper strip on the supporting bracket frame and holding the reinforcing rail in the strip back, the expansions being spaced from one another by a distance which is greater than the width of one of the holding claws in a longitudinal direction on the wiper strip, so that in a finally mounted condition the holding claws of the wiper strip engage between the expansions.

A wiping device for windows of power vehicles comprises a wiper arm, and a unit for changing an abutment force of the wiper arm. The pulling spring has an end which is spaced from the wiping element and suspended on the axis of the coupling point.
