A flotation apparatus may include a flotation chamber having a side wall and a base, a stirrer, a sparging device associated with the stirrer, a first foam-collecting device arranged in an upper region of the flotation chamber for the purpose of collecting a foam product formed during the flotation process, and a charge line for charging the flotation chamber with pulp, wherein the charge line leads into the flotation chamber at a point above the stirrer and an ejector is present in the charge line. Further, a flotation method is performed in two stages inside a flotation chamber of a flotation apparatus, wherein an ejector is used in a first flotation stage and a stirrer is used in a second flotation stage.

In a method for separating magnetizable particles from a suspension, the suspension is passed through a cylinder-symmetrical separator wherein the substance streams are separated by at least one tubular separation screen. The separator separates the substance stream into a concentrate as well as a so-called tailing and the control of the separation rate of the concentrate and tailing is carried out solely by controlling the flow rate. To this end, at least one separation screen () is displaceable in the separator (), so that a variable gap () is formed.

Method for separating magnetisable particles from a suspension and associated device

A method obtains non-magnetic ores from a suspension containing ore particle-magnetic particle agglomerates. The method involves dividing ore particle-magnetic particle agglomerates precipitated from the suspension into a mixture of separately present ore particles and magnet particles, separating the magnetic particles from the mixture, forming a first mass flow containing magnetic particles and a second mass flow containing ore particles. At least one information describing a measure of the content of ore particles in the first mass flow and being associated with the first mass flow and/or at least one information describing a measure of the portion of magnetic particles in the second mass flow and being associated with the second mass flow are determined in order to determine the efficiency of at least one of the separation processes described above.

Method for obtaining non-magnetic ores from a suspension containing ore particle-magnetic particle agglomerates

A method obtains non-magnetic ores from a suspension-like mass flow containing non-magnetic ore particles. The method involves mixing the mass flow with magnetic particles in a mixing device and forming ore particle-magnetic particle agglomerates, feeding the mass flow as a separator feed flow to a magnetic separator for separating the ore particle-magnetic particle agglomerates from the mass flow, forming a separator concentrate flow containing ore particle-magnetic particle agglomerates and a separator residual flow containing the remaining constituents of the mass flow, and separating the ore particles from the ore particle-magnetic particle agglomerates contained in the separator concentrate flow. At least one information indicating a measurement of the content of ore particles or magnetic particles in the separator feed flow and/or the separator concentrate flow and/or the separator residual flow is determined for determining an efficiency of at least one of the mixing apparatus and/or the magnetic separator.

Method for obtaining non-magnetic ores from a suspension-like mass flow containing non-magnetic ore particles

A sparging device for a flotation cell may include a central gas tube with a central gas orifice which is adjoined by at least two connecting tubes each having a connecting gas orifice, the connecting tubes being aligned at a right angle ss to a longitudinal axis LZ of the central gas tube, the central gas orifice being connected to the connecting gas orifices, and each connecting tube being connected to at least one gas injection unit at its end remote from the central gas tube. A flotation cell with such a sparging device and a flotation method are also disclosed.

A method for magnetic ore separation and/or dressing is provided, in which metalliferous recoverable materials are separated from conveyed metalliferous ore rock. The method may include producing a pulp including metalliferous recoverable material, executing a hydrophobizing reaction of recoverable material in the pulp, synthesizing a hydrophobized, magnetizable material in liquid suspension and adding this suspension to the pulp, causing an agglomeration reaction between hydrophobized magnetizable material and hydrophobized recoverable material to form magnetizable agglomerates in the pulp, separating the magnetizable agglomerates from the pulp, mixing separation products containing the agglomerates with a non-polar liquid insoluble in water and decomposing the agglomerates in the non-polar liquid into magnetizable material and recoverable material, separating the magnetizable material from the recoverable material, and removing moisture from the separation portion containing the recoverable material of the second separation stage to synthesize the recoverable material.

Magnetic separation of nonferrous metal ores by means of multi-stage conditioning

In a device and a method for extracting non-magnetic ores from a pulp comprising non-magnetic ore particles and having a solid fraction of at least 30 mass percent, the pulp flows continuously through a reactor in the direction of flow and magnetic or magnetizable magnet particles that form ore magnetic particle agglomerations with the non-magnetic ore particles are added to said pulp. The ore magnetic particle agglomerations are moved by a magnetic field into an accumulation range of the reactor, and are then discharged out of reactor range and separated into ore and magnetic particles. In a device and a method, the separated magnetic particles are treated, in particular hydrophobized, such that during a new interaction with non-magnetic ore particles, new ore magnetic particle agglomerations are formed. Accordingly, a high yield of ores can be obtained and the mine can be operated in an economical and environmentally friendly manner.
