The transport device for conveying products has several symmetrically configured, movable carriages having inverted U-shape, each carriage having permanent magnets, also has an endless guide rail for guiding the carriages and a linear-motor drive device to drive the carriages. Each symmetric half of each carriage has three running rollers projecting inwardly from sidepieces of the carriage. The three running rollers of the first half rest on first and second guide surfaces on a first side wall of the guide rail, and the three running rollers of the second half rest on first and second guide surfaces on the second side wall of the guide rail. Each guide surface is arranged at an acute angle to a longitudinal center plane of the transport device, and the two guide surfaces of each side wall are at an angle of 80&#xb0; to 100&#xb0; to each other.

The sealing station in a thermoforming machine for sealing a cover sheet to a bottom sheet having pocket-like depressions to hold products includes a first mold and a second mold, the second mold having cavities to accept the pocket-like depressions in the bottom sheet. The sealing station further has a vent system, which involves an inlet channel and an outlet channel in an area of each of the cavities so that, during a sealing operation, a vent space is formed between each depression in the bottom sheet and each cavity, and air entering through the respective inlet channel passes over the depression in the bottom sheet in the vent space and escapes through the respective outlet channel.

Sealing station

The sealing element for integration into a sealing tool for producing smooth stamping fields during the sealing of two plastic sheets has a base body. A first slot extends into the base body from a first narrow lateral surface, and a second slot, which is offset vertically from the first slot, extends into the base body from a second narrow lateral surface, in such a way that the two slots define a section of the base body which has substantially the shape of an S or reversed S. The first slot has a U-shape with a first leg of the first slot being longer than a second leg of the first slot, and the second slot has a U-shape with a first leg of the second slot being longer than a second leg of the second slot. Each of the two slots expands at its inner end to form a bore.

Sealing element for producing smooth stamping fields during the sealing of plastic sheets

The device for the roll-sealing of sheets has a mating roll and a sealing roll, which presses against the mating roll with a sealing force, so that a molded sheet and a cover sheet can be guided between the sealing roll and the mating roll and sealed to form a sealed composite sheet structure. The surface of the mating roll has recesses to accept blister pockets of the molded sheet and a rippled structure. The elevations formed by the rippled structure comprise contact areas of different sizes.

Device for the roll-sealing of sheets

A device for delivering bulk material consisting of individual products has a supply container for storing the bulk material of individual products, the supply container having a product outlet. A perforated plate is arranged downstream of the product outlet of the supply container on a base stand. The perforated plate serves to receive the individual products from the product outlet and to move them further in a transport direction while removing broken products and dust. A bulk material leveler formed as a leveler strip rotatable around a pivot axis is arranged downstream of the product outlet above the perforated plate.

A sealing tool for a sealing machine has a heat-conductive and normally heated support plate having an inner face and a heat-conductive seal plate having an outer face bearing in surface contact on the support-plate inner face. A central attachment extends between the plates across the faces at a point location and substantially prevents relative movement of the plates parallel to the faces at this point location. Outer attachments spaced outward from the central attachment press the faces together with a limited force such that the faces can slide parallel to each other at the outer attachments.

Seal tool for film-sealing machine

Sealing tools are used in a machine in which foils are guided between two sealing tools that on their sides facing the foil have bumps with uniform relative spacing T. Compensation for the tolerances between the sealing tools and the foils is achieved for a defined penetration depth of the bumps into the foil workpiece. The spacing T of the bumps is predetermined, and subsequently an experimental measurement of the force &#x3c3;is carried out that is necessary for the defined penetration depth of a test body of known geometry into the foils. Then, and with use of the force &#x3c3;applied by the sealing machine that is determined as the quotient of the forces applied to the sealing tools per surface unit of measure of the sealing tools, the corrugated surface A required for the defined penetration depth is set based on the relation/&#x3c3;.

Method of making a sealing tool

An apparatus for packaging small identical objects in respective blisters of a package strip has at least two separate but substantially identical plates each formed with an array of pockets. An upper conveyor shifts the plates one behind the other horizontally at an upper level from an upstream loading station where objects are fed to the pockets to a downstream transfer station where the objects are transferred to a package strip. A lower conveyor has a single drive motor for dropping the plates at the transfer station from the upper level to a lower return level, then shifting the lowered plates upstream at the lower level against the travel direction to the loading station, and then shifting the plates back up to the upper level.

Conveyor for feeding small objects to a blister-film loader

An apparatus for loading small objects into respective blisters of a foil web has a plurality of substantially identical fill plates each having an array of receptacles corresponding to the blisters of an area of the foil. A conveyor moves the fill plates one after another in a transport direction at an upper level from a fill station remote from the web to a transfer station close to the web, then lowers them to a lower level, then returns them in an opposite return direction from the transfer station to the fill station, and finally raises them in the transfer station to the upper level. At the fill station the receptacles of the plates are filled with the small objects. At the transfer station the small objects are taken out of the receptacles of the plates and put into the blisters of the web.

Carrier for small objects

An apparatus for sorting small cylindrical objects has a trough having a longitudinally extending groove along which the objects can slide. The groove is of generally rectangular upwardly open shape and has a pair of upright and horizontally spaced side walls and an upwardly directed floor bridging lower edges of the side walls. The floor is formed offset from the side walls with a vertically throughgoing slot of a width substantially smaller than a predetermined minimum object width so that if any of the objects is of a diameter smaller than the minimum object width it will fall through the slot as it slides along the floor. One of the side walls is formed at the slot with an inwardly directed braking formation engageable with the objects as they slide past the slot to rotate same about vertical axes.
