A laser device for projecting a position mark in the field of vision onto an object to be examined using a mammography unit is described, where the laser device can be adjusted in position together with a vertically adjustable compression plate of the mammography unit. The laser device may be arranged on the compression plate or on the compression plate support thereof. In the latter configuration, the laser device may remain attached to the mammography unit. The apparatus has application to biopsies.

An X-ray examination system for analog mammography is provided. The X-ray examination system for analog mammography includes an X-ray system including an X-ray film and labeling device. The X-ray film is exposed to an X-ray beam of the X-ray system with examination images of a patient. The labeling device includes an exposure beam for exposing the X-ray film with additional patient-specific information. The labeling device is a structural component of the X-ray system and is separate from the X-ray system for exposing the X-ray film. The labeling device is positionable relative to the X-ray film. The labeling device is disposed outside the X-ray beam or in the direction of an exposure of the X-ray film.

X-ray examination system for analog mammography

A mammography unit is provided. The mammography unit includes a stand; an X-ray unit; a compression unit that includes a compression plate; an object table; and a suspension of the X-ray and compression units or the object table. The suspension is height-adjustable relative to the stand. The compression plate and the object table are adjustable relative to one another. At least one radiation element is integrated into the mammography unit. The at least one radiation element is operable to heat the object table by exposure to radiation.

Heating device in mammography systems

A medical imaging equipment is described, including a radiation source for emitting measuring radiation, a receiver for receiving the measuring radiation, and a measuring region in which an object to be measured is placed, and which is situated in the beam path of the measuring radiation The receiver comprises a support which can be pivoted about a rotational axis and is adapted to mount at least two receiving devices. The receiving surfaces may be disposed alternately into a measuring position. A surface of the receiving device is parallel to the rotational axis of the support, and the rotational axis of the support is substantially perpendicular to the beam path of the measuring radiation.
