Circuit breaker for motor vehicle power lines, having a first planar connection flap, a second connection flap and a connection portion which electrically connects the connection flaps and which forms a desired breaking location. A particularly simple production with low material use can be achieved by the connection flaps and the electrical connection portion closing an explosion chamber of a pyrotechnical igniter in such a manner that the desired breaking location bursts owing to the gas pressure of the pyrotechnical igniter brought about in the event of actuation.

The invention relates to an electrical isolating device () comprising a first connecting part (), a second connecting part (), an isolation point () which in the closed state forms a current path between the first and the second connecting parts () and is located spatially between the connecting parts, wherein in the isolated state the isolation point () isolates the current path between the connecting parts (), and further comprising an auxiliary drive () which influences isolation of the isolation point (). Particularly reliable isolation is ensured in that a flowable medium () driven by the auxiliary drive is disposed in such a way that it surrounds the isolation point () at least partially at least at the moment of isolation.

Electrical disconnecting device and method for the electrical isolation of connecting parts with the aid of a disconnecting device

Connection of an electrical cable consisting of a plurality of wires or strands to a terminal, in particular for the electrical system of a motor vehicle, having a support sleeve which encloses an end area of the cable and serves to accommodate an end face of the cable, so that the wires or strands are held in the support sleeve, wherein the face side of the cable consisting of the individual wires or strands is welded to the terminal by means of an at least face side weld seam. A particularly simple connection is then possible if the terminal is hollow on the side opposite the weld seam.

Production of an electrical cable and method for producing a connection

A cord (3) which consists of a plurality or a bundle of individual filaments (2), especially individual wires, can be inserted into an opening (4) with a stripped or bare end (1), even if the filaments (2) are spread out at this end (1). The cord is grasped near the free end (14) of the bare filaments (2), and the filaments (2) are pressed together over the total circumference of the cord. The free end of the cord is provided with a contour which corresponds to the receiving opening (4). The compacting occurs for this purpose in such a manner that opposite the pressure position a projection at the free end (14) still remains, which now in this contoured shape fits and is inserted into the opening (4). Thereafter, the bundle of filaments (2) is then pressed together again at a slight distance from the opening (4), and by this aforementioned distance is inserted into the opening (4) or the sheath (5). This is then repeated stepwise until the entire end (1) of the cord (3) is inserted into the opening (4), so that the sheath (5) can thereafter be compacted.
