In a method and a carrier gas nozzle for allowing at least one fluid to flow over a welding area of a workpiece along a welding path during a welding process, the at least one fluid is flowed onto the welding area via at least one inlet and channels having openings. The openings of the channels are divided into at least two sectors, and at least one flow parameter, if need be also a property of the at least one fluid of each sector, is individually controlled, wherein at least one flow parameter of at least one fluid of at least one sector is controlled depending on the geometry of the welding path and/or depending on the geometry of the workpiece.

Method and carrier gas nozzle for supplying a fluid to a welding area of a workpiece

The invention relates to a coupling device () used for producing a flow path between the tank () of a water vapor cutting device () and a liquid-filled cartridge (), wherein said coupling device () comprises a housing () provided with a receiving area () which is formed therein, used for mounting the cartridge () on said housing () and which comprises a channel () provided with an input orifice () fluidically connectable to the cartridge () and to an output opening () which is also fluidically connectable to an external surrounding area, for example to the tank (). A metering device () is arranged in the housing () and makes it possible to define a locking position, in which the cartridge () is not mounted on the housing () and the output orifice () is locked, wherein the metering device () also makes it possible to define a releasing position, in which said metering device () is displaceable, in particular by mounting the cartridge () on the housing (), and in which the output orifice () is released. A method for controlling the water vapor cutting device () is also disclosed.

Coupling device for a water vapor cutting device

The invention relates to a vapor plasma burner () comprising a burner handle () and a burner base (). Inside the burner base (), a liquid feed pipe (), a heating device (), a burner chamber (), a cathode (), connected to a cathode support (), and an anode () which is configured as a nozzle () and has an exit opening () are arranged. The invention also relates to a cathode () and to a nozzle () for such a vapor plasma burner (). The aim of the invention is to provide a vapor plasma burner () that can be optimally ignited and the wearing parts of which can be easily removed. For this purpose, the cathode support () is configured together with the cathode () as an axially displaceable piston and is connected to a spring element () in such a manner that the cathode (), in the rest position, is forced against the nozzle () and that the cathode support () communicates with the liquid feed line () in such a manner that during operation, the cathode () is lifted off the nozzle () when water is supplied so that an electric arc can be ignited between the cathode () and the anode ().

Vapor plasma burner

The invention describes an apparatus, in particular a laser hybrid welding head () for a laser hybrid welding process, in which a laser () or laser optics or an optical focussing unit and elements of a welding torch () for an arc welding process and/or a feed device for a welding wire as well as a device for generating a cross jet () connected by at least an incoming line () and an outgoing line () to a compressed air supply system, are mounted on at least one mounting element (). The incoming line () and the outgoing line () carrying compressed air for the cross jet () are disposed between the two components, in particular the laser () and laser optics or the optical focussing unit and the elements of the welding torch () or feed device for the welding wire ().
