A method for reducing air leakage from a refrigerated container includes positioning at least one inflatable device about a rear end of the refrigerated container; coupling the at least one inflatable device to one end of an elongated duct located within an interior space of the refrigerated container; coupling a second end of the elongated duct to an outlet port of the evaporator fan; circulating, via the evaporator fan, air through the interior space; and extracting the circulated air through the elongated duct and into the at least one inflatable device.

Rear door inflatable device for an integrated refrigerated container

An insulated freight-transport container has a pair of longitudinally extending and parallel side walls, a top wall bridging the side walls, a front end wall bridging the side walls and connected to the top wall, and a rear end wall formed by a sill and a lintel attached to the top wall and defining a door opening therewith. A pair of doors are engageable with the opening to close same and a floor is formed of upper and lower skins and a body of insulation therebetween. The floor extends horizontally longitudinally from the door sill to the front end wall and bridges the two side walls. It is recessed below an upper edge of the door sill. A plurality of longitudinally extending rails fixed to the top door skin define a plurality of longitudinally extending air-conducting passage and have an upper surface level with the upper edge of the door sill.

Large-volume insulated shipping container

The present invention pertains to a design of the connection between the lower end of a side wall plate 1 and the corresponding longitudinal edge of the bottom plate 2 of a large container. Both the side wall plate 1 and the bottom plate 2 are prefabricated sandwich plates. After the two plates 1, 2 have been joined, a free space 12, which is subsequently filled with foam, is initially left in the transition area between the side wall plate 1 and the bottom plate 2. The transition area or the free space 12 that is subsequently filled with foam is covered, on the one hand, by an inner cover profile 13 between the upper cover plate 7 of the bottom plate 2 and the inner cover plate 4 of the side wall plate 1, and, on the other hand, by an outer cover profile 11 between the outer cover plate 3 of the side wall plate 1 and the lower cover plate 6 of the bottom plate 2. The outer cover profile 11 is in contact, from the outside, with the outer cover plate 3 of the side wall plate 1 and with the front side of the bottom plate 2, which is associated with this side wall. The inner cover profile 13 lies on the inner side of the inner cover plate 4 of the side wall plate 1 and on the top side of the upper cover plate 7 of the bottom plate 2 (FIG. 1).

The invention is directed to a container for environmentally controlled and temperature-regulated transport of perishable goods, the environment-controlling unit being arranged in the essentially cuboid container in the region of the one end face thereof as a component, which is to be allocated to the container and to be separated from it. The environment-controlling unit is broken up into functionally connected components, or is composed of components, which are functionally connected with one another, the components being allocated to the region or regions between the temperature-regulating unit and a container corner post at the side of the temperature-regulating unit. In this way, space within the container is utilized, which previously was unused and was filled with foam, as were the container side walls, in order to avoid heat bridges. Because of its shape, the space gained makes it possible that environment-controlling equipment with an air separator can be used, in which the air of the surroundings is split into the oxygen and nitrogen, which are required for control of the environment.

Container for temperature-controlled and environmentally controlled

The subject matter of the invention is a bottom panel for ventilated containers. The bottom panel is provided with an upper surface plate layer (1) and a lower surface plate layer (2), both layers being held in position by means of a spacer layer (3) of rigid foam. The upper surface plate layer (1) is an extruded profile consisting of a flat plate (4) and rib profiles (5), whereby the rib profiles (5) have a cross section of closed hollow profiles. The closed hollow profiles can be used as ventilation channels (7), which are linked to the grooves (6) between the rib profiles (5) by means to openings (8).
