A method for forming a clamping device comprising of a swiveling body made of plastic, a plain bearing bushing mounted radially inside the plastic swiveling body, a rolling bearing for mounting a clamping roll arranged eccentrically to the bearing bushing, the edges of the plain bearing bushing being wound out of a strip, and joined to each other under intrinsic tension in the area of the butt joint; and, wherein, the lateral surface of the plain bearing bushing and the bore surface of the rolling bearing function as parts of a mold for the injection-molding of the swiveling body and consisting of the steps of placing the rolling bearing assembly and a plain bearing bushing in a mold half in eccentric relation to one another, placing a second mold half over the plain bearing bushing and rolling bearing configured to form ring-shaped projections to hold rolling bearing in a predetermined axial position relating to the bearing bushing, and injecting a plastic material with the mold closed to form the swivel body.

Belt tensioner device and method for making same

A support body used in a tensioning device includes a support element and a bottom plate. The support element is attached to the bottom plate in a radially and axially form-fitting and fixed manner through use of a plastic element that is molded into place by extrusion. The plastic element engages a groove formed in the outer surface of the support element and also engages through holes formed in the bottom plate.

Support body for tensioning device

An arrangement for fixing a tubular element, such as a shaft, that is provided with a bore and a flange in position with respect to plate element involves the use of a ball that pressed into the bore in the tubular element. To achieve a simple fixation that is secure in both axial directions, the plate element is fixed on one side by the flange of the tubular element and on the other side by the bulge that is created through insertion of the ball into the bore in the tubular element. The ball has a greater diameter than that of the bore in the tubular element so that insertion of the ball into the bore causes the tubular element to become enlarged, thus forming the bulge.

Arrangement and method for fixing tubular element in a hole in a plate

A tensioning device is provided with an adjusting element that is adapted to be affixed to the tensioning device after the tension spring therein has been tensioned. The tension can be adjusted to a desired work point after the tensioning element has been mounted on a motor frame or the like.

Presettable belt tension device

A tensioning device for drive belts includes a pin pivotable about an axis and having an eccentric surface on which a cam is pivotally mounted. A roller adapted to engage a belt is rotatably mounted on the cam. The cam pivots in reaction to forces on a spring acting between the cam and pin. The spring may be preloaded to a specific operating point by rotation of the pin. Markings or projections acting as stops facilitate adjustment of the preloading of the spring.

Spring adjustable tensioning device

In a swivel bearing for a braking device the fixed machine part is provided with a flange which has friction surfaces for damping the swivel motion. A flange sleeve made of sheet metal axially and radially surrounds a flange which adjoins the front side of a sleeve section belonging to the swivel arm. The resulting annular space contains, besides the flange, an axially acting spring washer. The flange sleeve itself may optionally have an axial spring action. The flange sleeve is secured axially and against torsion at the sleeve section by means of a turned edge or similar means. The result is a compact arrangement which does not easily disassemble, even in an unmounted condition.

Swivel bearing for braking devices

A tensioning mechanism for drive belts which consists of a support arm, a rotating tensioning roll mounted on the arm, and a pivot bearing on the support arm a certain distance away from the tensioning roll. The tensioning mechanism is attached together with a mounting plate by a fastener to a machine block. A spring urges the tensioning roll away from the mounting plate and toward the drive belt. In the area of the pivot bearing, the mounting plate has, in the axial direction of the bearing, a fork-shaped cross section with shank sections which support the pivot bearing on both sides, radially and axially, by way of the fastener.

Tensioning device for drive belt assemblies

A spring ring is arranged in an annular gap of a pair of outer bearing rings in an arrangement for fastening a rolling bearing in the bore of a housing. A groove is provided in the housing for receiving the spring ring. A holding ring is mounted on the outer surface of the bearing outer ring, the holding ring having a collar aligned to hold the spring ring within the annular gap during the disassembled condition of the bearing. The holding ring has an axial surface adapted to engage the end of the housing during assembly, to enable the holding ring to be forced axially along the outer surface of the bearing outer ring. The holding ring futher has an end away from the spring ring adapted to form a seal with the bearing inner ring.

Arangement for fastening a rolling bearing in a housing

A tension-adjusting device for a driving belt comprising a tension roller and having an engagement arrangement provided between a support of the tension roller and a machine frame for enabling stepwise swiveling movement about a partially disengaged mounting bolt. The axis of swivel is radially displaced from the rolling axis of the tension roller. The engagement arrangement comprises a projection formed on the support radially displaced from the axis of swivel and a plurality of depressions formed in the machine frame and arranged at regular intervals along an arc defined by the path of travel of the projection during swiveling, whereby the projection is engageable with each depression, thereby defining a corresponding step in a range of adjustment of the tension of the driving belt.

Tension-adjusting device for driving belt

A tension roller with a supporting member, pivoted on a pivot stud against the force of a tension spring, and rotatably supported in a roller sleeve by a bearing. The supporting member has a cylindrical interior space, limited by side walls, containing the tension spring. The side walls have bores for the pivot studs and recesses for formation of the stopping faces, against which the free ends of the tension spring abut in order to limit the angle of rotation of the tension roller. The member is made of synthetic material, using injection molding techniques. In order to produce this supporting member in an economical manner, additional recesses permitting insertion of a forming tool consisting of two halves are provided in the side walls of the member.

Tension roller for belt drive

Coupling release assembly comprising a sliding sleeve and a coupling bearing having a fixed bearing ring connected with a radially oriented flange of the sliding sleeve and a rotating bearing ring having a contact surface for a coupling lever, a socket of generally U-shaped cross section consisting of two half moon-shaped shells secured to the outer periphery of a flange of the sliding sleeve and the fixed bearing ring and biasing member urging the fixed bearing ring and flange of the sliding sleeve in prestressed contact with the opposing radially inwardly directly sides of the socket member.

Coupling release, particularly for pulling action couplings

A clutch release, in particular for an automobile clutch, comprising a sliding sleeve, a clutch release bearing, and a spring ring for enabling self-centering of the bearing. The thrust plate of the sliding sleeve is provided with a plurality of circumferentially distributed flexible projections of L-shaped profile which engage the contact flange of the nonrotating bearing ring such that the nonrotating bearing ring radially slidably abuts the thrust plate. The thrust plate is provided with throughholes arranged underneath the respective projections in order to facilitate the elastic yielding of the projections during the operation of snapping them on the contact flange. The flexible projections fix the axially position of the nonrotating bearing ring while allowing radial play.

Clutch release

A sealing arrangement for two machine elements concentrically arranged with respect to one another for relative rotation, especially for the inner and outer bearing rings of a rolling bearing, consists of a holding ring circumferentially arranged spring fingers radially snappable in an annular groove in the outer or inner ring, and a sealing seal of an elastically compressible plastic connected thereto, the holding ring being adapted to be axially inserted between the inner and outer bearing rings. In order to maintain a precise centering of the seal connected to the holding ring, between the outer and inner ring, the holding ring has spring fingers on its axially outer end and a centering section on its axially inner end. The centering section is radially supported in the bore of the outer ring or on the outer surface of the inner ring. The seal has a mounting section which is axially clamped between the centering section and a radially extending inner shoulder of the outer or inner ring, adjacent the bore of the outer ring or the outer surface of the inner ring.

Seal between rotating concentric elements

A roller casing for a pulley is comprised of coaxial ring halves mounted one over the other. The diameter of the running surface can be varied without varying the bearing size by employing corrugations in the circumferential direction, or by providing lateral radially outwardly directed rims on the inner ring part. Alternatively the iner ring may be comprised of two ring halves having their central parts directed toward one another.

Sealing ring for radial rolling bearings with an outer race and an inner race and rolling bodies in the gap between them, consisting of a ring body of elastic material bridging the gap with, at one radial end, at least one sealing lip or the like sliding along a contact surface of the outer race or inner race and with, at its opposite end, a hub section supported on a seating surface of the inner or outer race and a stiffening plate incorporated into the ring body with a radial web section and, in the hub section, a collar section connected to the outer edge of the web section facing the hub, characterized in that the collar section of the stiffening plate is formed both by axially inward-bent and axially outward-bent tabs of the outer edge of the stiffening plate.
