In an arrangement for open-end rotor spinning having a spinning rotor which, by means of a rotor shaft, is disposed in wedge-shaped gaps formed by pairs of supporting disks and is driven by means of a tangential belt, it is provided that a cleaning element is assigned to the peripheral area of the pressure roller.

Arrangement for open-end rotor spinning having a spinning rotor

An open-end rotor spinning apparatus is provided which includes a spinning rotor element for forming yarn including an open side. A cover element is provided for covering the open side of the spinning rotor element. A projection element is disposed at the cover element and projects into the side of the spinning rotor element. A fiber feeding duct is disposed in the projection element. A yarn withdrawal duct is also disposed in the projection element and provides a pathway for formed yarn being withdrawn from the spinning rotor element. A yarn withdrawal nozzle element projects from the yarn withdrawal duct element into the spinning rotor element open side. Holding elements are provided other than the yarn withdrawal duct element which hold the yarn withdrawal nozzle element on the projection element.

Arrangement for open-end rotor spinning

A bearing and driving unit for a spinning rotor of an open-end spinning unit is provided. A braking element is provided for braking a rotor shaft, and a cleaning element is provided for cleaning the rotor shaft. Actuating elements are provided for activating and deactivating the braking element and the cleaning element. The cleaning element is applied to the rotor shaft with a contact force which is controlled independent of a contact force control of the braking element.

A process is provided for operating open-end friction spinning machines of the type including movable friction surface parts defining a yarn forming region and a suction device for creating a suction effect on the yarn forming region. The process includes reducing the suction effect when spinning operations are interrupted, and interrupting the suction device at a point no later than the return of a yarn end into the yarn forming region. An apparatus for performing the process is also provided.

Process for the stopping and restarting of an arrangement for open-end

A piecing process is provided for an open-end friction spinning apparatus of the type including movable friction surface members forming a yarn-forming zone therebetween. A friction surface driving device for moving the friction surface members during operation and for interrupting the movement of the friction surface members is also included in the apparatus. The spinning apparatus further includes a yarn end orientation member for orienting a yarn end during the piecing process. The process includes placing a yarn end into the yarn-forming zone when the rollers are stopped. The friction surface members are started such that the yarn end is prevented from being pulled too deeply into the yarn-forming zone by the yarn end orientation device. An apparatus for carrying out this process is also provided.

Method and apparatus for starting spinning operation of an open end

In the case of a supporting roller bearing for a horizontally arranged spinning rotor, it is provided that braking means are arranged below a tangential belt moving between two pairs of supporting roller. The braking means contain two brake shoes that can be applied essentially horizontally to the shaft from the direction of two sides, said brake shoes being arranged on tong arms. The applying of the brake shoes takes place in such a way that the brake shoe that during the application moves in moving direction of the tangential belt comes to rest against the shaft before the other brake shoe. In addition, it is provided that a tension roller loading the tangential belt in normal operation, during the braking, will not be moved off the tangential belt before both brake shoes are applied to the shaft.

Brake for an open-end spinning rotor

A bearing and driving assembly is disclosed for an open and spinning rotor unit of a spinning unit of the type having a rotor mounted on a rotor shaft, a twin disk bearing arrangement for rotatably supporting the rotor shaft and a tangential belt drivingly engaging the rotor shaft. A tension roller is loaded against the tangential belt. To minimize failures of such a system caused by a resonant system vibrations and to facilitate high spinning speeds with minimal manufacturing expenses, the supporting disk pairs are axially spaced a distance slightly larger than the axial width of the tension roller. Brake members are disposed below the tangential belt so as to be applied with substantially horizontal movement radially against the rotor shaft.

Bearing and drive for a horizontally arranged open-end spinning rotor

An arrangement for open-end friction spinning with two rollers forming a wedge-shaped gap is provided for separating the two rollers from a drive during a yarn breakage. A device reduces the speed of the roller rotating into the wedge-shaped gap earlier or faster than the roller rotating out of the wedge-shaped gap. Furthermore, a device is provided for switching off the suction device holding the producing yarn within the wedge-shaped gap during a yarn break.

A bearing and driving assembly is disclosed for an open end spinning rotor at a spinning unit of the type having a rotor mounted on a rotor shaft, a twin disk bearing arrangement for rotatably supporting the rotor shaft and a tangential belt drivingly engaging the rotor shaft of the radial side thereof opposite the twin dusk arrangement. To minimize failures of such a system caused by resonant system vibrations and to facilitate high spinning speeds with minimal manufacturing expenses, the assembly is designed so that the system critical velocity where excessive resonant vibrations may occur is substantially lower than spinning operational speeds.

Bearing and driving arrangement for a spinning rotor of an open-end

An open end yarn spinning apparatus is disclosed which comprises a plurality of side by side spinning positions, with each spinning position including a circular spinning rotor, and aerodynamic bearings rotatably mounting the rotor. A maintenance carriage is adapted to move along one side of the apparatus, and the carriage mounts a cleaning device which may be introduced into the open side of the rotor upon disengagement of its drive means. To prevent the aerodynamic thrust bearing from being damaged during the cleaning operation by reason of the low speed rotation of the rotor, biasing means is provided for applying an axial force to the rotor to axially separate the thrust bearing and thereby avoid undue wear.
