A valve arrangement for a compressed-air operated nailing apparatus with valve pistons operating without intersection in such a manner that the one valve piston cooperates with the working cylinder and is guided by the other working piston which is controlled by an auxiliary control valve, wherein the first auxiliary piston is also controlled at the same time, and wherein upon opening the valve arrangement the second valve piston is moved first into the opening position and the first valve pistion thereafter.

Valve arrangement

The present invention relates to a sound-dampened driving apparatus for fasteners wherein a main valve means is arranged above a working cylinder of the apparatus and movable within a cylindrical bore. When the main valve means is in its lower at rest position, the main valve means separates the working cylinder from a source of compressed air and connects the cylinder to the atmosphere. When the main valve means is in its upper actuating position, the working cylinder is connected to the source of compressed air and the valve means blocks the cylinder connection to the atmosphere. The space above the main valve member within the cylindrical bore is capable of being alternately connected to either the atmosphere or compressed air, and includes a sound dampening means arranged in the space above the main valve member.

Sound-dampened driving apparatus for fasteners

The present invention relates to a sound-dampened driving apparatus for fasteners wherein a main valve member is arranged above a working cylinder of the apparatus and movable within a cylindrical bore. When the main valve member is in its lower at rest position, the main valve member separates the working cylinder from a source of compressed air and connects the cylinder to the atmosphere. When the main valve member is in its upper actuating position, the working cylinder is connected to the source of compressed air and the valve member blocks the cylinder connection to the atmosphere. The space above the main valve member within the cylindrical bore is capable of being alternately connected to either the atmosphere or compressed air, and includes a sound dampening means arranged in the space above the main valve member.

The invention relates to a compressed air-operated fastener driving tool comprising a pilot valve controlled by a manually actuated release lever, a control valve, the pressure bias of which is controlled by the pilot valve and which for its part controls the supply of compressed air to a working cylinder, and a release barrier adapted to be actuated by the workpiece by means of which the actuation of the pilot valve is adapted to be controlled in common with the release lever when placed in its working position.

The invention pertains to a compressed air-operated fastener driver utilizing a piston reciprocally mounted within a cylinder wherein a control valve at one end of the cylinder selectively opens and closes cylinder ports communicating with a compressed air source, and the control valve utilizes an exhaust passage and abutment cooperating with an exhaust valve controlling the flow through exhaust ports. The control valve positions the exhaust valve, and differential pressure areas defined on the exhaust valve assure closing of the exhaust ports during pressurization of the chamber during the working stroke reducing noise and an efficient utilization of compressed air.
