This describes a procedure for replicative fabrication and packaging of at least one microstructured molded part as one magazine/molded part composite as well as a magazine with at least one microstructured molded part as one magazine/molded part composite. The first step covers fabrication of at least one microstructured molded part using an initially closed tool which consists of at least one first and one second tool half. In the second step, both tool halves are opened, whereby the molded part remains in the first tool half. In the third step, at least the second tool half is replaced with at least one additional tool half. In the fourth step, the replicative fabrication of the magazine is carried out using the first tool half containing the molded part and the additional tool half. Finally in the fifth step, magazine and molded part are demolded simultaneously as one magazine/molded part composite. Under the invention, either the magazine or the microcomponents can be fabricated first depending on the final design of the microcomponent and magazine. This procedure, which preferably uses a 2-component injection molding process, allows the direct fabrication of several molded parts or microcomponents and their magazine packaging as one magazine/molded part composite without any after-treatment requirement, whereby different physical heights are fabricated for the magazine and microcomponents. Since the magazine connects the microcomponents only at parts of the side, bottom or face surfaces, a gripper can be used for very precise, fully automated mounting of the microcomponent.

Storage magazine for microstructured molded parts and fabrication procedure

The invention relates to a method for quantitatively and/or qualitatively detecting layer thicknesses of biological or chemical molecules by means of ellipsometric measurements. Said molecules are deposited on at least one metal layer by virtue of interactions with a gaseous or liquid medium, whereby said metal layer is provided with an immobilisation layer. A method that can be carried out quickly is provided by including the surface plasmon resonance. Said method is provided with a significantly greater detection sensitivity and can be used not only for qualitatively detecting layers. According to the inventive method, the angle of incidence and/or the frequency of the electromagnetic radiation which is used for the ellipsometric measurements is/are adjusted in such a way that a surface plasmon resonance is produced in the metal layer. The detection sensitivity (&#x3b4; cos &#x394;)/(thickness of the layer to be detected) is adjusted by means of the thickness of the metal layer.

Magazine for microstructured moulded parts and method for the production thereof

The invention relates to an assembly device for microcomponents that are disposed in a magazine. The inventive assembly device does not require any optical systems and allows for an exact positioning of the microcomponents. The assembly will also be unaffected by any position changes of the microcomponents caused by wastage. The assembly device is provided with mechanical alignment devices that engage with or act upon adjustment structures of the magazine. The assembly device further comprises clamping devices for fixing the magazine and at least one plunger for ejecting at least one microcomponent from the magazine. An assembly platform is provided in the upper tool or in the lower tool of the assembly device and receives the microcomponents in a defined position. The invention further relates to a method for assembling microcomponents and to a corresponding magazine.

Magazine, assembly device for microcomponents

Known static micromixers that work according to the principle of multilamination allow for a rapid mixing by diffusion. The invention provides a means for substantially increasing the throughput of known micromixers. To this end, the inventive micromixer for mixing two or more reactants comprises microstructures that define mixer cells. Each of said mixer cells is provided with a feeding chamber which adjoins at least two groups of digital channels. Said channels intermesh with the digital channels of the groups adjoining the feeding channels in a comb-like manner, thereby producing mixing zones]. Outlet ports are located above said mixing zones, said outlet ports extending perpendicularly to the digital channels and discharging the product. The inventive micromixer is especially useful for the large-scale production of mixtures, dispersions and emulsions.

Disclosed is a method for assembling cassette-loaded microcomponents, requiring only a small number of component-specific ejector tools and capable of being implemented more quickly. According to the inventive method, at least two cassettes provided with component carriers are used, whereby each cassette has at least one type of component and the positions of the components are adapted to each other. At least one cassette acts as a base plate cassette wherein the microcomponents are arranged on a base plate acting as a component carrier. At least one joint assembly step is carried out, wherein two cassettes are respectively placed opposite each other and all microcomponents in the joined cassettes are simultaneously assembled to form sub-assemblies or component units. The component carriers of the cassettes are subsequently withdrawn. During assembly, the microcomponents can also be held in a rotationally secure position. The invention also relates to an assembly device for assembling cassette-loaded microcomponents.

The object of the invention is to produce multipole magnetic systems that are composed of a plurality of individual magnetic components that preferably are made of rare-earth magnetic material. The invention relates to a method for producing and magazining at least one individual magnetic component, a magazine for at least one individual magnetic component by molding and for conventionally magnetizing the same. The invention further relates to a method of assembly for producing a magnetic system and to the resulting magnetic systems. The invention teaches that extremely flat multipole magnetic systems in the form of magnet rings or magnet strips and three-dimensional magnet bodies such as a magnetic scale, for example, can be produced by means of individual magnetic components that are directly adjacent to each other or are arranged at a distance by means of a molding material, for example. The magnetic systems taught by the invention are provided with a particularly high level of integration of the individual magnetic components and a uniform overall magnetization of the magnet segments which, acting as permanent magnet components, can be used in electromagnetic drives, magnetic path and angle measuring systems, magnetic couplings and valves, for example.

At least the open side surfaces of the micro-component are then cast using a hardening molding material whereupon the base plate and/or the molding material covering the micro-component is removed. The assembly method for micro-components includes a magazine which is configured in the form of a disk-shaped plate containing at least one micro-component which encompasses at least on one of its sides in positive fit. Said magazine is held and maintained by a retaining device, whereupon the micro-component which is to be assembled is squeezed out of the magazine and simultaneously positioned in a specific location.

The invention relates to a disk motor with an armature disk, which is rotatably mounted and provided with permanent magnets, and with a stator which comprises a stator plate which is equipped with coils. The aim of the invention is to provide a disk motor that is as flat as possible and that is characterized by an improved smoothness of running. To this end, an annular soft-magnetic prestressing device is arranged concentrically on the stator plate in such a manner that at least one section of the prestressing device is located below the coil window of the coils in the axial direction. The armature disk may support an annular flux-return element opposite which the annular prestressing device is located in the radial direction. Said prestressing device has a cross-sectional contour that guides the magnetic lines of electric flux from the annular flux-return element to the coil window.

A rolling bearing which has as rolling bearing components one bearing race with a first running surface, a second bearing race with a second running surface opposed to the first surface, and rolling elements arranged between the running surfaces. At least one sensing unit is integrated into the rolling bearing components. The sensing unit can be interrogated by radio via antennas or can be connected to an interrogator by a cable. The sensing unit uses at least one component operating on the SAW or BAW principle to sense changes in length and/or changes in temperature in the material of the rolling bearing component and sends the result of the measurement after the arrival of a radio signal via the antenna or via a cable.

The invention relates to a matrix switch for optical fibers, exhibiting slides (S,(n)) arranged in lines, to each of which an input optical fiber (LWL,(n)) is fixed, and slides (S,(m)) arranged in columns to each of which an output optical fiber (LWL,(m)) is fixed. The slides with the optical fibers are arranged on two planes in such a way that the input optical fibers can be optically coupled to the output optical fibers by displacing the output and input slides. A device (,) with stops (,) arranged in lines and columns is provided to position the slides (S,(n)), (S,(m)) to which the input or output optical fibers (LWL,(n)), (LWL,(n)) are fixed. The positioning device (,) enables the advancement of the output slides (S,(m)) to be limited in such a way that the output slides are secured in an exact position in which the input optical fibers can be coupled to the output optical fibers. The input and/or output slides are fitted with stops which are arranged in such a way that the input or output slides are secured in a position in which the input are exactly aligned with the output optical fibers. The matrix switch for optical fibers has a simple, compact design. It enables high-precision optical fiber connection involving relatively low switching times.
