The invention relates to an X-ray detector with detector elements () arranged in a layer. The detector elements () contain a scintillator element () for the conversion of X-rays (X) into photons (v), a photodiode () for detection of the photons (v), and a processing circuit () for the processing of electric signals generated by the photodiode (). In order to protect the electronics () from X-rays a shielding () of variable effective thickness (d, d) is disposed in front of the electronics (). This shielding () can in particular be L-shaped. By reduction of the effective thickness of the shielding () to a necessary minimum the volume of the scintillator unit () can be maximized.

The invention relates to an arrangement for collimating electromagnetic radiation, comprising a macrocollimator which has at least two cutouts, and microcollimator structures which are positioned in the cutouts of the macrocollimator and have lamellae that absorb electromagnetic radiation, so that collimator channels are formed which in each case extend such that they are transparent in a transmission direction.

The invention relates to an anti-scatter grid for the absorption of X-rays, wherein the wall elements () of the grid consist of a thermoplastic () with heavy metal particles () embedded therein. By using such a mixture, it is possible to produce the wall elements by injection molding, whereby even very finely and complicatedly shaped, in particular two-dimensional, grids may be produced in cost-effective manner.
