The electronic device for sensing and/or actuating comprises a device surface to which an biological cell () is applied, further comprising a sensor and/or an actuator (), and an access channel () with a channel port (), said channel port being located in said surface. The access channel () is designed such that the biological cell () can enter the access channel () to thereby provide access to the sensor (). Particularly the cell () forms a protruding portion () by entering the access channel (), which portion is sensed. The access channel () may be provided with a specific sensor port at which the sensor () is present. The device may be used for sensing or actuating biological cells, such as neurons, for instance in electroporation treatments.

The present disclosure is related to an interface device for providing access to a network to be monitored. The interface device includes a plurality of elements, the elements being sensors and/or actuators. A selection circuit is provided for selecting a subset of elements among the plurality of elements, each element of the subset being arranged for outputting and/or receiving a signal. A local memory is provided for storing the subset.

Interface device and method for using the same

The present disclosure relates to a system comprising at least a first and a second essentially analogue portion and an essentially digital portion, the analogue portions forming a part of a unidirectional circular network. First communication means is provided between the digital portion and the first analogue portion. Second communication means is provided between the first and second analogue portions. The first and second communication means are configurable for establishing communication between the digital portion and the second analogue portion. The first and second communication means are arranged to determine if a packet communicated over the first or second communication means is of interest for any of the analogue portions.

System with distributed analogue resources

A method is presented for obtaining characteristics of a target physical entity by providing an excitation signal to the target physical entity and simultaneously measuring the response of the target physical entity. Analog signal processing is performed on the measured response to eliminate artifacts arising from a signal path outside the target physical entity and determining the characteristics from the signal processed measured response. The excitation signal and the analog signal processing are selected such that after analog signal processing of the measured signal, the analog measured signal contains artifacts which are localized in time.

Method and system for artifact reduction

A wireless communication device is provided. The device comprises a digital circuit, an analog circuit, and a control circuit. The digital circuit is arranged to perform digital processing in a signal path. The analog circuit is arranged to perform analog processing in the signal path. The control circuit is arranged to receive control signals as input and arranged to provide output control signals for the analog circuit.
