The embodiments described herein are configured to annotate engineering record ('ER') data from database tables and their corresponding attributes for analytics tools consumption and to combine the database tables into one consumable entity that can expose a list of attributes to the customer. Attributes may be converted into standardized attributes based on analyzing attribute data types. This data can then be extracted by analytics tools via the common data reporting layer to generate one or more visualizations at a display of at a user's computer system. Such a solution requires far less technical understanding and implementation logic to enable users to focus on analytics rather than view building.

Analytics enablement for engineering records

A system, a method, and a computer program product for deriving target attribute values based on source attributes defined by a hierarchical data mode are disclosed. An attribute value derivation function to change a target attribute data value corresponding to a source attribute stored in a hierarchical data model and an instruction corresponding to the source attribute are provided. The attribute value derivation function is defined by an attribute value derivation header containing metadata describing hierarchical data model and an attribute value derivation instruction for deriving the target attribute based on the source attribute. Using the attribute value derivation function, a target attribute data value is derived. A user interface is generated to display the derived target attribute data value.

A maintenance function is provided for changing a target attribute data value corresponding to a source attribute stored in a hierarchical data model. Based on at least one user setting, a user interface for displaying the hierarchical data model and the changed target attribute data value is generated.

The identified event is monitored. A business value of the identified event is determined in real time. A system and process that manages access to a resource in an enterprise service-oriented architecture environment. The system recognizes a master for each resource that has ultimate control over the respective resource. The master grants access to the resource though a lock system. If a system does not relinquish access to the resource, then the master is able to reclaim the lock to ensure the continued availability of the resource to all systems. This system ensures data coherency, while also improving performance by diminishing the amount of time a resource is unnecessarily locked and the time to obtain a lock.

A computer program product tangibly embodied on a computer-readable medium includes executable code that, when executed, causes at least one computer system hosting a computer application to provide a memory to store results of multiple queries processed by the computer application and a feeder component in a front end display logic layer of the computer application. The feeder component is configured to read the results of the multiple queries stored in the memory asynchronously and to supply the results of the multiple queries in parallel to respective query result display entities in a user interface of the computer application.

The user request can be based on user selections and inputs made via a user interface. The user can limit the attribute values that are replaced based on attribute, attribute value, and/or other designation. The user interface can facilitate user execution of the mass change by presenting lists of attribute values and/or attributes to the user for selection. The list of attribute values can be limited based on a user designation of data elements for mass change. A mass change component can be configured to control directly or indirectly the user interface or portions thereof. The mass change component can initiate the mass change of the data, based on the user selections and inputs.

An object corresponding to a graphical component is instantiated and assigned a level within the graphical hierarchy. The object is configured based on its location in the hierarchy from the buffered configuration. The object reads its parent identifier from a level buffer based solely on its assigned level and writes its object identifier into the level buffer in association with its assigned level.

A method and system for providing a secure method and process for accessing resources that are made available by a server. A demilitarized zone (DMZ) framework provides a frontend system that is protected by a firewall and separated from a backend system by a second firewall. The frontend system provides the user interface functionality common to the backend but contains no access directly to the resources that the user interface operates upon. Placing the user interface on a separate machine from the resource data provides an additional layer of security. In addition, separate communication protocols are used between the user and the frontend and between the frontend and the backend system. Thus, a malicious programmer or program will not know the location of the resource or the method for communicating with the backend server to access the resource.
