A robot is provided with a robot weight compensation device having at least one hose element including an internally pressurized gas-tight inner hose portion cooperating with a high tensile strength outer portion. The high tensile strength outer portion includes non-elongatable fibers oriented relative to an axis of the at least one hose element by an angle not equal to 0&#xb0; and 90&#xb0;. An outer flexible protective jacket covers the fibers. A first fixing element is fixed to a first end of the hose element. The fixing element is connected to a first part of the robot. A second fixing element is fixed to a second end of the hose element. The second fixing element is articulated to a second part of the robot being movable relatively to the first robot element.

Weight compensation device

On joining a fibre-reinforced plastic part, such as a plastic fibre-reinforced robot arm, to a functional element such as a gear, as a result of the flow characteristics of the plastic in the case of a high pressing action or high pressures, the joints are no longer stable or resistant and instead tend to loosen. To obviate this problem, the invention provides a fibre-reinforced plastic part, in which several metallic parts ( ) engage through at least one fibre-reinforced shoulder ( ). On one side of the shoulder or shoulders ( ) is provided at least one metallic abutment ( ) engaging over several metallic parts ( ) and a functional element ( ) is braced from the opposite side of the shoulder or shoulders ( ) with the abutment ( ) against the front ends ( ), facing the latter, of metallic parts ( ).

Fibre-reinforced plastic part

A device for compensating the weight of a robot arm of a robot with a spring cylinder and having at least one helical spring is characterized in that there is at least one mechanism for the insertion and removal of at least one further, replaceable helical spring and preferably a pretension of at least the replaceable helical spring is adjustable. The device according to the invention makes it possible to modify the spring constant of the spring cylinder in order to individually adjust the compensating force desired for compensating the weight of the robot.

In order to simplify assembly of a robot hand to a robot arm, the invention is a device for driving a robot hand on a robot arm having a plurality of cardan shafts with which the cardan shafts are borne at their ends distant from the hand on a bearing plate which can be displaced relative to the robot arm.
