A cap, especially a disinfectant cap, is for protecting and/or closing off the abdominal connector used in peritoneal dialysis, and to a detection device for peritoneal dialysis. There is a bag set for peritoneal dialysis and use thereof. In view of the sometimes serious consequences of an incorrect sequence of fluids in the patient's abdominal cavity, it is desirable to prevent an incorrect sequence of fluids during peritoneal dialysis. This is achieved by providing the cap, especially a disinfectant cap, with information about the medium contained at any one time in the patient's abdominal cavity. In this way it is always possible&#x2014;even after the fluid has been dispensed into the abdominal cavity and the bag disposed of&#x2014;to determine which medium is currently in the patient's abdominal cavity and/or to record other details, such as the amount, the concentration, the manufacturer, etc. of the medium, and to take this information into account, especially during subsequent stages of the peritoneal dialysis treatment.

A device for autologous blood transfusion includes a centrifuge unit with an autotransfusion set rotatably mounted thereto. The autotransfusion set includes a separation unit for concentrating a cell fraction by centrifugation and a tubing system for providing a connection to a blood supply. The tubing system includes a blood supply line leading to the separation unit for supplying blood to be processed and a return line leading away from the separation unit. Since in blood processing, particularly in the intraoperative area, significant fluctuations of the incoming hematocrit value may occur, for example, due to infused volume expander, irrigation solutions, anticoagulant additives, etc., it is useful for maintenance of a blood separation working with constant values, particularly a constant hematocrit value of the erythrocyte fraction, to take the preset hematocrit value of the blood to be separated into account. According to the invention, the rate of blood flow through the separation device is automatically adjusted as a function of the hematocrit value of the incoming blood.
