The present invention relates to a method for the in vitro detection of a latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) in a subject, wherein said method comprises determining at least one nucleotide sequence and/or at least one polypeptide of(Mtb) in a blood cell population of said subject, and wherein the presence of said at least one nucleotide sequence and/or said at least one polypeptide is indicative for said latent tuberculosis infection. In particular, the blood cell population is enriched for hematopoietic stem cells. The invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition for use in the treatment of the LTBI in the subject, wherein it is determined if the nucleotide sequence and/or the polypeptide of Mtb is/are present in the blood cell population. Further, the invention relates to kits for carrying out the methods of the invention. The invention also relates to the use of the kits.

Methods for the detection of a latent tuberculosis infection

In addition to the transmission of a tone signal (ts) according to the RFC standard 2833 via a network using Internet protocol, the tone signal is transmitted in the data packets (dp). Subsequently, the phase difference (&#x394;&#x3c6;) between the transmitted tone signal (ts) and the generated tone signal (ts') is ascertained, before beginning the insertion of the generated tone signal (ts&#x2032;) in the data packets (dp), and compared to a predetermined phase difference (&#x3c6;&#x3bd;). If the ascertained phase difference exceeds the predetermined phase difference (&#x394;&#x3c6;,&#x3c6;&#x3bd;), the phase of the generated tone signal (ts&#x2032;) is changed by a predetermined phase (&#x3c6;) with the aid of the tone generator (TG). The ascertainment of the phase differences (&#x394;&#x3c6;) and the change of the phase (&#x3c6;) of the generated tone signal (ts&#x2032;) is repeated until the ascertained phase difference is less than the predetermined phase difference (&#x394;&#x3c6;,&#x3c6;&#x3bd;), upon which instead of the transmitted tone signal (ts), the generated tone signal (ts) is inserted into the data packets (dp). A substantial advantage of the invention can be seen in that a phase detector does not have to be continuously active for the synchronization, but rather the synchronization must only be performed if a tone signal (ts) or tone information (ti) is received and the insertion of the generated tone signal (ts&#x2032;) is imminent.

Method and receiving unit for synchronizing a packet-oriented reception with a calculated tone signal

The invention relates to a method for adaptive filtering in which a level of a reference signal necessary for the adaptive filtering is determined in the context of an adaptation by estimation, using a quantity equivalent to the reference signal, wherein the filtering is dependent on the electrical power of at least one signal extracted from a transmission channel to be filtered, and the equivalent quantity is determined by means of a mathematical function based on the electrical power of at least the extracted signal. The invention further relates to an arrangement with means for carrying out the method.

Method and arrangement for the adaptive filtering of signals

An analog signal divided into time frames is encoded and a synthetic signal is formed on the model thereof in a time frame manner via a synthesis filter which is excited by an excitation signal. The excitation signal is formed by at least one adaptive code list containing a plurality of scanning values provided with a defined scanning space. For the actual excitation signal, a segment corresponding to the time frame length is selected from the plurality of scanning values via a speech-based frequency parameter which can take non-integer values and, in such a case, the values intermediate to the scanning values defined by the speech-based frequency parameter are formed in such a way that the time space between the intermediate values and the scanning values is reduced and the totality of the intermediate and the scanning values is used for forming the excitation signal.

Transmission delays due to the buffering of data packets are registered for the purpose of regulating a jitter buffer. Weighted mean delay values are continuously derived from registered transmission delays, with a shorter transmission delay receiving a higher weighting than a longer transmission delay. A read-out speed of the jitter buffer is then regulated as a function of the continuously derived weighted mean delay values in such a way that the weighted mean delay values are adjusted as a regulating variable to a predefined desired delay.

Given an error that is hard to reproduce, the error cannot be neutralized by the above mechanism.
