A running gear for a rail vehicle includes one or more wheel sets, each having a revolution axis and each being guided by a pair of transversally spaced axle boxes. The running gear further includes a running gear frame, a primary suspension assembly between each of the axle boxes and the running gear frame, and a secondary suspension stage for supporting a vehicle superstructure on the running gear frame. Each primary suspension assembly has at least a main spring assembly having a vertical stiffness and a horizontal stiffness that is identical in a transverse direction of the running gear frame and in a longitudinal direction of the running gear frame perpendicular to the transverse direction. The primary suspension assembly further has an anisotropic interface assembly in series with the main spring assembly between the running gear frame and the axle box. The anisotropic interface assembly is such that the primary suspension assembly has a transverse stiffness and a longitudinal stiffness wherein the transverse stiffness is substantially different from the longitudinal stiffness.

The invention relates to a method for monitoring the state of vehicle chassis, particularly of rail vehicles, whereby physical quantities are measured on the chassis by means of sensors. The measured and optionally processed quantities are compared with modeled quantities by means of a processing unit. The modeled quantities are determined from specific quantities, a classification into classes of causes is performed on the basis of the comparison by means of one or the processing unit, and an evaluation is carried out based on the classification. The invention relates to a running gear for rail vehicles, especially for passenger traffic, wherein a frame () is supported, by means of primary springs, on wheels or sets of wheels, and whereon a superstructure () is supported, optionally with insertion of a bolster (). A self-steering, three-axle bogie, in particular for a rail vehicle, comprising wheel sets and wheel set bearing housings allocated to the sets. The outer wheel sets are counter-coupled and can be displaced in a longitudinal direction and the central wheel set can be displaced in a transverse direction. Radially adjustable running gear for a railborne vehicle

A running gear for rail vehicles includes a bogey, truck or vehicle frame. Three driven wheelsets are elastically supported in the frame. Longitudinal guide rods extend parallel to the longitudinal center of the vehicle for coupling rotary motions about vertical axes of the first and third wheelsets with a transverse motion of the second wheelset upon traversing curves. Each of the guide rods have first ends being pivotably secured to a bearing housing of a respective one of the first and third wheelsets and second ends pointing away from the respective bearing housing and toward the second wheelset. Bell cranks are supported on the outside of the frame and have two diagonally opposed pairs of arms pointing toward the longitudinal center of the vehicle and two diagonally opposed pairs of arms pointing toward the second wheelset. The second ends of the connecting rods are each pivotably secured to a respective one of the arms pointing toward the longitudinal center of the vehicle. Transversely extending coupling rods are each pivotably connected to a respective two of the arms pointing toward the second wheelset. Double levers are supported on the outside of the frame and extend in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. Each of the double levers pivotably connect one of the arms of one of the diagonally opposed pair of arms pointing toward the second wheelset to the an surface of one of the bearing housings of the second wheelset.
