The invention relates to the use of an aqueous dispersion containing at least one polyurethane-polyurea polymer formed from (a) at least one difunctional polyester polyol having a number-average molecular weight of 400 to 5000 g/mol, (b) at least one difunctional polyol component having a number-average molecular weight of 762 to 399 g/mol, c) at least one diisocyanate and (d) at least one chain extender optionally having at least one ionic group, for the bonding of at least two substrates by application of the aqueous dispersion to at least one of the substrates to be bonded, subsequent drying of the dispersion present on the at least one substrate in order to obtain at least one adhesive layer, and contacting of the at least one adhesive layer with a further substrate or with an adhesive layer present on a further substrate at a pressure of from 0.1 to 5 bar(a) and a temperature of less than 40° C., wherein the polyurethane-polyurea polymer after the drying has a glass transition temperature Tg of from −65 to 10° C. and a melting point of from 40 to 80° C., to a corresponding process for joining at least two substrates, and to an adhesive composite obtained in this way and comprising at least two substrates and an adhesive layer present between every two substrates.

Use of dispersion adhesives for foam bonding

The present disclosure relates to an aqueous dispersion containing at least one semicrystalline polyurethane-polyurea polymer and at least one surface-deactivated polyisocyanate. The melting temperature of the semicrystalline polyurethane-polyurea polymer is at least 55° C. The disclosure also relates to a process for preparing the aqueous dispersion, the use of the aqueous dispersion for producing coated substrates or adhesive films, flat or three-dimensional substrates coated with the aqueous dispersion, a substrate coated with at least one semicrystalline polyurethane-polyurea polymer and at least one surface-deactivated polyisocyanate, an adhesive film including at least one semicrystalline polyurethane-polyurea polymer and at least one surface-deactivated polyisocyanate, and a dried adhesive film obtained from such an aqueous dispersion.

The invention relates to a method for applying a material containing a meltable polymer comprising the step of applying a filament of the at least partially molten material from a discharge opening of a discharge element onto a substrate. The meltable polymer has the following properties: —a melting point (DSC, differential scanning calorimetry; second heating with a heating rate of 5° C./min) in a range from ≥40° C. to ≤120° C.; —a glass transition temperature (DMA, dynamic mechanical analysis in accordance with DIN EN ISO 6721-1:2011) in a range from ≥−70° C. to ≤30° C.; —a storage modulus G' (parallel plate oscillation viscometer in accordance with ISO 6721-10:2015 at a frequency of 1/s) at 20° C. above the melting point of ≥1·10Pa; —a storage modulus G′ (parallel plate oscillation viscometer in accordance with ISO 6721-10:2015 at a frequency of 1/s) at 10° C. below the melting point with prior heating to a temperature of 20° C. above the melting point and subsequent cooling with a cooling rate of 1° C./min of ≤1·10Pa; wherein the filament has an application temperature of ≥100° C. above the melting point of the meltable polymer for ≤5 minutes during the application process and wherein the meltable polymer further has the property that the storage modulus G′ (parallel plate oscillation viscometer in accordance with ISO 6721-10:2015 at a frequency of 1/s) of the meltable polymer at the highest application temperature reached during the application process is smaller by a factor of ≥10 than the storage modulus G′ (parallel plate oscillation viscometer in accordance with ISO 6721-10:2015 at a frequency of 1/s) at a temperature of 20° C. above the melting point of the meltable polymer.

A process for manufacturing an article comprises the steps of: applying a layer that consists of particles to a target area; allowing, in a chamber, energy to act on a selected portion of the layer, according to a cross-section of the article, so that the particles in the selected portion are bonded, and repeating the steps of applying and allowing energy to act for a plurality of layers so that the bonded portions of the adjacent layers are bonded to form the article, at least part of the particles comprising a fusible polymer. The fusible polymer further has a complex viscosity \&#x3b7;*\ (determined by viscosity measurement in the melt using a plate-plate oscillating viscometer according to ISO 6721-10 at 100&#xb0; C. and a shear rate of 1/s) of &#x2265;10 Pas to &#x2264;1000000 Pas. Finally, the temperature inside the chamber is &#x2264;50&#xb0; C. The invention also relates to an article manufactured by the process according to the invention, to an article having a substrate and to an article bonded to the substrate, the article being in the form of an adhesive joint or varnish region, and to the use of a particular polyurethane in powder-based additive manufacturing processes.

Powder-based additive manufacturing process at low temperatures

The present invention relates to a method for adhesively bonding substrates, said method comprising the following steps: I) at least one adhesive component (a) and at least one isocyanate component (b) are applied between at least two substrates; II) the substrates are pressed together. The method is characterized in that in step I), the adhesive component and the isocyanate component are applied separately to the substrate. The invention further relates to a composite obtained according to said method. In a preferred embodiment, an aqueous polyurethane dispersion or a polyurethane solution in organic solvents is used as the adhesive component.

Method for adhesively bonding substrates using adhesives

The present invention relates to novel waterborne adhesives which are polymerizable by UV light and are capable of being activated by heat, and which particularly display good adhesion to difficult substrates, such as ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers (EVA) with a low vinyl acetate content, or rubber. The invention further provides a novel method in which, after the application of the waterborne adhesive to an article and drying, irradiation with UV light and at the same time or thereafter activation by heat are performed. Waterborne polyurethane adhesive composition and method for bonding articles

An aqueous polymer dispersion that includes a) a polyurethane dispersion having an average particle size of 60 to 350 nm and b) an aqueous silicon dioxide dispersion having a particle diameter of the SiOparticles of 20 to 400 nm. The dispersion is prepared by mixing the polyurethane dispersion (a) with the silicon dioxide dispersion (b). The aqueous polymer dispersion can be used in adhesive compositions, which can be used to bond substrates together, especially substrates that are structural components of shoes.
