A fire suppressant storage device () comprises: a tank () having a first port (), a second port (), and an interior () for storing fire suppressant. A discharge assembly () is mounted to the first port and comprises a discharge valve () and a charge conduit () at least partially within the interior. The discharge conduit has an interior and an exterior. A liquid level measurement assembly () is mounted to the second port and comprises: a tube () at least partially within the tank interior and having an interior sealed relative to the surrounding tank interior and an exterior; a float () surrounding the tube; and a member () axially movable within the tube interior. One of the float and the member comprises an upper magnet () and a lower magnet (). The other of the float and the member magnetically cooperates with the upper magnet and the lower magnet to relatively axially trap the member to the float.

A frictional damper for an elevator system includes one or more friction pads configured to move between a first position, and a second position defined by engagement of the one or more friction pads to the guide rail. An actuation unit urges the one or more friction pads into and out of engagement with the guide rail. The actuation unit includes a hydraulic actuator operably connected to the one or more friction pads to urge movement of the one or more friction pads into and out of engagement with the guide rail via hydraulic fluid pressure. The hydraulic actuator includes a hydraulic cylinder containing a volume of hydraulic fluid and a hydraulic piston located in the hydraulic cylinder and operably connected to the one or more friction pads. An electromagnetic actuator selectably urges hydraulic fluid to apply a force to the hydraulic piston, urging the movement of the friction pads.

The universal circuit board includes a first coil configuration imprint and a second coil configuration imprint. An elevator system includes an elevator car having an elevator car subsystem; a guide rail to guide the elevator car along a hoistway; primary windings positioned along the hoistway; permanent magnets coupled to the elevator car, the primary windings and permanent magnets defining a linear motor for imparting motion to the elevator car in response to a drive signal; and secondary windings coupled to the elevator car, the secondary windings generating a current to power the elevator car subsystem.

Wireless power supply for self-propelled elevator

A ropeless elevator system includes a vertically extending first lane, a vertically extending second lane, and a transfer station extending between and in communication with the first and second lanes. An elevator car is disposed in and is constructed and arranged to move through the transfer station and the first and second lanes. A propulsion system of the elevator system propels the elevator car through at least the first and second lanes and carries a supplemental DC energy storage device for providing supplemental energy to the elevator car during normal operation. An exemplary elevator brake device includes a permanent magnet. A core supports the permanent magnet. A first plate is positioned near one side of the core with a first gap between the first plate and the core. A second plate is positioned near another side of the core with a second gap between the second plate and the core. The first and second plates remain fixed relative to each other and are arranged such that relative movement is possible between the core and the plates. An electromagnet selectively influences an amount of magnetic flux across the first and second gaps, respectively, to control a braking force of the brake.
