Synthetic object detection data is generated for a modeled sensor, such as a camera. Scenario data specifying objects, such as vehicles, sensor intrinsics, such as focal length, principal point, and image size, and sensor extrinsics, such location and orientation in the scenario of the sensor, may be received. An object detector model may detect a given object in the scenario if it lies within the sensor's field of view, is large enough, and is not occluded. Two dimensional (2D) image plane position and velocity measurements may be generated. A measurement noise model may add noise to the measurements. Position, velocity, and measurement noise may be mapped into a three dimensional (3D) world coordinate system. An object detection list that includes time of detection, detected position and velocity, measurement accuracy, and an object classification for detected objects may be output.

Methods and systems for simulating vision sensor detection at medium fidelity

A method and apparatus for retrieving selected information in a graphical model environment originates with the provision of the graphical model environment. The selected information is selected by, or provided to, a block diagram simulation application operating the graphical model environment. The selected information can be in the form of data or a reference to data. The selected information is automatically incorporated into the graphical model environment.

Automatic import to a graphical model

A device may receive information associated with an input image that includes a first quantity of rows. The device may store pixel values, for a second quantity of rows, based on the information associated with the input image. The second quantity of rows may be different than the first quantity of rows. The device may generate an output image, that includes a projective transformation of the input image, based on the stored pixel values. The device may provide information associated with the output image.

In one embodiment, input code is received having a plurality of functional elements that process data elements. At least one criterion for generated code is also received. A first intermediate representation of the input code is built that has a plurality of nodes that represent the functional elements. Block sizes are assigned to two or more nodes of a first intermediate representation. The first intermediate representation is modified to create a second intermediate representation that satisfies the at least one criterion, and organizes at least some of the nodes of the first intermediate representation based on the block sizes.

Code generation

In an embodiment, a code generator receives input code having a plurality of functional elements, such as blocks, nodes, statements, commands, etc. The input code processes a data set, such as an image file. The code generator further receives one or more criteria for the generated code. The functional elements of the input code are provided with one or more parameters regarding the block sizes that the respective functional elements can process, such as an available block size and a preferred block size. The code generator queries the functional elements of the input code to obtain their available and preferred block sizes, and builds an intermediate representation (IR) of the input code. The code generator re-organizes and modifies the IR so that it achieves the one or more criteria. Output code that meets the one or more criteria is generated from the reorganized and modified IR.
