An electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a display configured to display a first screen; a force direction sensing unit configured to detect a force direction of a contact applied to one point by an external object; and a control unit configured to sense an occurrence of a predetermined event to logically divide the display into at least two regions including a first region and a second region, acquire a force direction of a first contact associated with the predetermined event from the force direction sensing unit, determine a region from among the at least two regions to display the first screen according to the force direction of the first contact, and display the first screen on the determined region.

Electronic device and a control method thereof

An electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a flexible display configured to display a first screen in a first state; a force direction sensing unit configured to sense a force direction of a contact applied to one point by an external object; and a control unit configured to sense an occurrence of a specific data reception event, when the flexible display is changed from the first state to a second state, display a second screen including first information of a first group including information regarding the specific data reception event on the flexible display, and when a force direction of a first contact is acquired in the second state through the force direction sensing unit, display a third screen including second information of the first group including the information regarding the specific data reception event on the flexible display or simultaneously display the second screen and the third screen on the flexible display based on the force direction of the first contact.

An electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention may include: a flexible display; a bending sensing unit configured to sense a first bending and a second bending of the flexible display; and a control unit configured to execute a first function based on a first sensing result of the first bending from the bending sensing unit, and execute a second function based on a second sensing result of the second bending from the bending sensing unit, in which, when the first bending and the second bending correspond to a first predetermined condition, the control unit executes a third function based on the first bending and the second bending sensed by the bending sensing unit.
