A method is provided for blending device-based recommendations. A request is received from a device to recommend a group activity for a plurality of individuals. A plurality of device user profiles is accessed, each device user profile associated with one of the individuals. At least one group activity is recommended based on applying a plurality of rules to the device user profiles. The at least one recommended group activity is output to the device.

A system is provided for a mobile device search optimizer. The system includes a storage device, a processor, and an optimizer engine. The optimizer engine, when executed by the processor, stores user input for a mobile device to the storage device. The optimizer engine also identifies a pattern of multiple user inputs entered to select a presentation view of an application on the mobile device during multiple occasions. Additionally, the optimizer engine configures the application to offer a user input option to display the presentation view in response to a selection of the user input option.

Mobile device search optimizer

A computer implemented method for user interface navigation engine is provided. A number of items to display is determined based on an interface screen parameter. The number of items is displayed based on the numerical position on a list selected for display. A displayed item is highlighted, wherein a position of the highlighted displayed item on a screen indicates a position relation of the displayed number of items to the count of items in the list.

A system is provided for widget to widget communication. The system includes a first device, a second device, and a communication server. The first device and/or the second device are a mobile device. The communication server provides a first widget to the first device and provides a second widget to the second device, wherein the first widget and the second widget are portable code that is installed and executed in a corresponding runtime environment without additional compilation. The first widget, when executed by the first device, communicates information that identifies content associated with the first widget and a state of the content via the first device to the communication server. The communication server communicates the information and the state to the second device. The second widget, when executed by the second device, presents at least some of the content based on the information and the state in coordination with the first widget presenting the content.

System for communicating information to a mobile device using portable code widgets

Computer implemented methods and systems are provided for mediating access to content based on digital rights management. A request is received from a mobile device for a unit of content. A digital rights holder identity is identified for the mobile device by using a unique identifier for the mobile device. The unique identifier is an equipment identifier, an international mobile subscriber identity, a mobile subscriber identification number, or a mobile identification number. Whether the digital rights holder identity is associated with a right to receive the unit of content is determined. The unit of content is provided to the mobile device in response to a determination that the digital rights holder identity is associated with the right to receive the unit of content.

Digital rights management based content access mediation

A system is provided for remote configuration of widgets. The system includes a device, a processor, a configuration application, and a user interface. The user interface accesses the configuration application. The configuration application, when executed by the processor, selects the device and uploads a state of the device to the configuration application. The configuration application executes a simulator to simulate the device for a software widget based on the state and generates a configuration for at least one of the software widget and the device based on executing the simulator. The configuration application also verifies the configuration on the simulator and downloads the configuration to the device.

Remote configuration of widgets

A data access layer operable to manage data requests from one or more software applications is provided. The data access layer includes a query processor, a metadata repository, a transaction data store, and an exception handler. The query processor manages transaction processing of data requests between applications, such as commercial-off-the-shelf software applications, and data stores. The metadata repository maintains a logical data model related to the data to provide instructions regarding handling the data requests from the application. The transaction data store maintains transaction information. A data warehouse may be updated along with the data stores by publication and subscription of data updates. When an error related to processing the one of the data requests is detected, the exception handler uses the transaction information to return any of the data to its previous state using compensating transactions.

The system includes context information for a user of the connected device, a web service, and a service delivery system. The service delivery system receives context information and information from the web service. The service delivery system combines the context information and the information from the web service to create customized information for the user. A system is provided for mobile client-side location determination. The system includes a mobile device, which includes base transceiver station location data, a memory, a processor, and a location engine stored in the memory. When executed by the processor, the location engine receives information that identifies multiple base transceiver stations in response to the mobile device registering with a communication network. The location engine also reads a location for each of the base transceiver stations from the base transceiver station location data and calculates a location of the mobile device based on the location of each of the base transceiver stations. Additionally, the location engine provides the location of the mobile device in a defined portion of a communication transmitted by the mobile device.

The present disclosure is directed to a web services architecture comprising a component operable for rapid development of a web services application, a mobile application. The web services architecture also includes a telecommunications provider system and a service provider. The mobile application is related to the web services application deployable on a mobile device. The telecommunications provider system is operable to host the web services application and to identify the mobile device and federate information related to the mobile device. The service provider is operable to provide a mobile device service associated with the web services application. The service provider is in communication with the web services application and operable to use the federated information related to the mobile device to provide application services to the mobile device.

A system for making computing applications aware of business events. The system can consist of an enterprise integration layer that automatically publishes business events and a messaging system that automatically subscribes to business events and makes the computing applications aware of the business events. The enterprise integration layer can include a set of client access interfaces, a business object server, and a set of adapters. The interfaces transform data from the format of a front-office application to a common data format. The business object server performs object assembly and disassembly, caching and synchronization, and service invocation functions. The adapters transform business objects into data requests compatible with a back-office system. The enterprise integration layer can also include an enterprise object model to standardize business objects, a rules engine to define and store rules regarding data and events, and a business event repository to contain definitions of business events.
