A gravimetric measuring device includes a weighing chamber with a vertical weighing chamber wall, which is formed as a support structure () with cover modules () detachably fixed thereto on the weighing chamber side, each cover module () having, on its weighing chamber side, a module front wall () covering the support structure () at least partially. The cover modules () have locking cantilevers () directed towards the support structure such that the locking cantilevers () are provided with vertically directed through-openings () which are aligned with corresponding through-openings () of the support structure (). The cover modules () are locked to the support structure () with locking rods () which pass through the mutually aligned through-openings () of the cover modules () and the support structure ().

Gravimetric measuring device

A positioning foot having a hydraulic shock absorber with a fluid-filled hollow cylinder (), in which a piston () that moves axially between an advanced, spring prestressed position and a retracted position. The piston separates a front axial fluid space () and a rear axial fluid space () from one another in the hollow cylinder. Both fluid spaces are connected to one another in a fluid exchanging fashion via at least one throttle opening () in the piston. The piston is rigidly connected to a piston rod (), which passes through the front fluid space and abuts a fixed stop () in the retracted position, in which the volume of the rear axial fluid space is minimized and the volume of the front axial fluid space is maximized. The spring prestress is dimensioned so that the weight of the device body moves the piston dampingly into the retracted position.

Hydraulic shock absorber and laboratory device

A balance including a weighing chamber (); a draft shield (), which surrounds the weighing chamber; a climate module (), which is detachably disposed in the weighing chamber; a processor (), which is programmed to provide an evaporation rate correction value; a data input unit; and a data transmission path, over which data is exchanged between the climate module and the processor. Also disclosed are a climate module configured to electrically yet detachably couple to a balance, wherein the climate module forms a self-contained modular unit and includes various sensors () and a path over which data is transmitted to an external processor, and to a method for calibrating a pipette using a balance, wherein an evaporation rate is determined during the calibration process, and the measurement is corrected in accordance with the determined evaporation rate.

Balance for calibrating pipettes

A method for producing a force-measuring element () having at least one articulation point () which separates one region of the force-measuring element () into two connected subregions () which can be deflected in relation to one another. The method includes: providing a force-measuring element blank (), removing material from the force-measuring element blank () in order to produce the articulation point (), checking whether the deflection behavior of the subregions () which is produced by the articulation point corresponds to a predefined specification, defining a correction form () which can be produced through material removal and compensates for an ascertained deviation from the predefined specification, correcting the articulation point geometry using a laser and the previously defined correction form (), through material removal at the articulation point.

Method for producing a force-measuring element

A monolithic weighing system including a base (), a load holder (), which is articulated on the base () through a parallel link arrangement (), and a lever (), which is articulated on the load holder () and which has an attachment point for a force compensating arrangement and a target area () for an optical position sensor (). The target area () has a slotted diaphragm () in a thin walled lever section of the lever () in the deflection plane thereof. A position sensor pedestal (), which is integrally connected to the base (), is arranged laterally adjacent to the target area (). The position sensor pedestal has a pedestal aperture (), which extends perpendicularly to the deflection plane. The slotted diaphragm () of the target area () is laser-machined through the pedestal aperture ().

Monolithic weighing system

A precision balance provided with a windshield having at least one wall element (), which is provided with an electrically conductive coating (), and having an electrical connection () for the coating. An electrical test device () is additionally provided, which is integrated into the precision balance and with which it is possible to check whether the coating () is connected to the electrical connection ().

An electronic scale having a measuring sensor (), a digital signal processing unit (), a digital display (), a bubble level (), which includes a container () that is partially filled with a liquid () while forming a gas bubble (), and circuit component or program routine in the digital signal processing unit () for detecting a displacement of the gas bubble (). An additional circuit component or program routine detects the diameter of the gas bubble (). The diameter of the gas bubble changes due to vertical vibrations of the scale. The signal from the measuring sensor () falsified by vibrations can thus be corrected by the digital signal processing unit () by calculation, making use of the diameter signal.

Electronic scale comprising a bubble level

An electronic scale having a measuring sensor (), a digital signal processing unit (), a digital display () and an inclinometer (). The inclinometer derives a signal for the tilt of the scale from the difference of at least two signals. The digital signal processing unit () is provided with an additional circuit component or program routine that adds the two signals and, by way of this cumulative signal, corrects the vibration-distorted signal of the measuring sensor (). A plurality of inclinometers enables the simultaneous detection of momentary gravitational acceleration. For example, in an electric bubble level, the gas bubble moves out of place when tilted and the diameter of the gas bubble changes when the gravitational acceleration changes. The scale thus provides an additional signal for correcting the influence of disturbances with minimum complexity.

A toploaded balance in accordance with the principle of the electromagnetic compensation of force with a divided upper guide rod (3, 3') and a divided lower guide rod (4, 4') which together as a parallel guide connect a load receiver (2) to a system carrier (1) fixed to the housing, which system carrier (1), load receiver (2) and guide rods (3, 3', 4, 4') form a one-piece base, with a translation lever (5) rotatably mounted by two flexible articulations (7) on the system carrier (1), with a coupling element (12) connected by flexible articulations on the one hand to the load receiver (2) and on the other hand to the short lever arm of the translation lever (5), with a magnet build, as viewed from above, into the free space between the parts of the guide rods (3, 3', 4, 4') and their extensions on the system-carrier side and with a coil fastened on the longer lever arm of the translation lever (5) and extending into the air gap of the magnet, the translation lever (5), the two flexible articulations (7) for mounting the translation lever (5) and the coupling element (12) with its flexible articulations (13, 14) are also a one-piece component of the base. In this manner errors by screwing the flexible articulations (7) and warping and non-reproducible return forces from other screw connections can be avoided.
