The present disclosure relates to a modulation circuit and a method for suppressing energy content of spectral side lobes caused by high-frequency content present in a baseband signal, with the energy content of the spectral side lobes being outside an intended operational bandwidth in a modulated radio-frequency signal. An example circuit is configured to: receive a digital baseband signal, feed the digital baseband signal to a first and a second signal path, with the first signal path comprising a first mixer and the second signal path comprising a delay circuit and a second mixer. The first mixer and the second mixer may receive a same local oscillator signal, and may respectively provide a first radio-frequency signal and a second radio-frequency signal that are delayed with respect to each other. The example circuit is further configured to generate an output radio-frequency signal by combining the first and second radio-frequency signals.

Modulation circuit for a radio device and a method thereof

Methods are disclosed for system scenario-based design for an embedded platform whereon a dynamic application is implemented. The application meets at least one guaranteed constraint. Temporal correlations are assumed in the behavior of internal data variables used in the application, with the internal data variables representing parameters used for executing a portion of the application. An example method includes determining a distribution over time of an N-dimensional cost function, with N an integer number N&#x2267;1, corresponding to the implementation on the platform for a set of combinations of the internal data variables. The method also includes partitioning an N-dimensional cost space in at least two bounded regions, each bounded region containing cost combinations corresponding to combinations of values of the internal data variables of the set that have similar cost and frequency of occurrence, whereby one bounded region is provided for rarely occurring cost combinations.

Method for system scenario based design of dynamic embedded systems

A method for frequency domain equalization of a cyclic CPM signal received via a channel is disclosed. In one aspect, the method includes representing the received cyclic CPM signal as a matrix model comprising a channel matrix representing influence of the channel, separate from a Laurent pulse matrix and a pseudocoefficient matrix respectively representing Laurent pulses and pseudocoefficients determined by Laurent decomposition of the received cyclic CPM signal. The method may further include applying a channel equalizer on the separate channel matrix and after the equalization. It may further include demodulating the received cyclic CPM signal by the matrix model, the demodulation exploiting known correlation properties of the Laurent pulses and the pseudocoefficients.
