The present disclosure relates to fluoride ion batteries and structures of metal based electrode materials for various fluoride ion batteries. The structures of the metal based electrode materials comprise one or more shells or interfaces, enabling the electrodes to operate at room temperature with a liquid electrolyte.

Liquid-type room-temperature fluoride ion batteries

The present disclosure is directed to fluoride (F) ion batteries and F shuttle batteries comprising an anode with a solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) layer, a cathode comprising a core shell structure, and a liquid fluoride battery electrolyte. According to some aspects, the components therein enable discharge and recharge at room-temperature.

The present invention is directed to memory systems. More specifically, embodiments of the present invention provide a memory system with a volatile memory, a persistent memory, and a controller. In a save operation, the controller copies contents of the volatile memory to the persistent memory as data units with their corresponding descriptor fields, where the descriptor fields include address information. In a restore operation, the controller copies data units from the persistent memory to their corresponding locations based on addresses stored at descriptor fields. There are other embodiments as well.

A method is described which permits a computer programmer to write a program with the assistance of the computer itself. The computer will provide instant feedback, following the procedures herein described, to the result of performing each instruction. Therefore, the programmer may instantaneously observe the working of the program as the computer will perform it. Thus any difference in the result produced by the computer from what the programmer expects to happen may be recognized and, if appropriate, corrected. In a higher order implementation of this method the computer will display icons to link the in-process programming to a working routine resident on a remote computer. Thus, the tools and benefits of so-called Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) can be made available to the programmer. Employing the method of this invention, the computer becomes an integral part of the creative process of writing a program.

A method of encoding and decoding calendar dates in multiple centuries to allow date data to be stored in a six-character format in a digital data processor. In an embodiment designed to allow existing programs to process date data correctly in the year 2000 and beyond, dates occurring before the year 2000 are characterized by two digit representations of each of the day, month, and year, while dates in the year 2000 and years thereafter are characterized by a year representation of '99' and a four-character month/day representation which is greater than 1231. The method comprises an Input Phase, in which date data are encoded from a conventional form into a six character format suitable for storage in a digital data processor, a Processing Phase, in which arithmetic and logical manipulation of date data may be performed, and an Output Phase, in which encoded date data are decoded into conventional numerical date designations. Also disclosed is a method of modifying existing computer programs to allow processing of dates in multiple centuries according to the above method.

Methods for encoding decoding and processing six character date

The invention comprises a method of completely sorting an unsorted data table in a single pass through the data. The method uses a relatively large amount of computer memory, but sorts the data at great speed. Specifically, each unsorted data word is scaled to a size equal to or less than the number of address locations in a sort table. The scaled value created for each unsorted data word is converted to an address increment which is added to the initial address of the sort table. The unsorted data word is then stored into the sort table at the above calculated address that is related to the value of the data word. In this way, most words are placed in a sorted arrangement without comparison or iteration. The invention also comprises a method for resolving conflicts where a calculated address for an unsorted data word already contains a sorted data word. In this case both words are then sorted with respect to each other to create a data subclass and stored in an auxiliary storage table. In the case of subsequent conflicts, conflicting data is sorted and then moved en masse to yet a further location in auxiliary storage. A further element is a method of gathering and merging the data which has been sorted as described above. The gathering mode eliminates the null values between sorted data words and places the subclasses of resolved conflicts in sequence in the data table.

A tool for remotely obtaining an impression of a component surface. A support pole is used to position a mold plate having side walls against a component surface. One or more locating guides are provided with seals for sealing off bores in the component surface. A piston from a pneumatic cylinder attached to the support pole is used to force impression material into the space between the mold plate and component surface. An adhesive plate on the mold plate insures removal of the impression with the mold plate once the impression material has hardened. The surface condition of the component may be determined by inspection of the negative impression.

The opening of a bag is defined by a bag frame which in laid down position allows debris to be directly swept into the bag, and in upright position to allow further expansion of the bag beyond a size withdrawable through the opening. A side panel releasably permits the overfilled bag to be withdrawn from the frame, and also provides abrasion/puncture resistance intermediate the bag and the work surface, allowing the bag and frame to be dragged to a convenient location.

A motorcycle tire changing machine includes a lower support section and an upper support section. The lower support section includes a stationary outer cylinder, and an inner cylinder mounted within the outer cylinder for rotation relative thereto. The inner cylinder is provided with a plurality of cam slots penetrated by tabs extending inwardly from the outer cylinder. A plurality of hook members extend upwardly from and beyond the inner cylinder. These hook members are adapted to engage a ring of the upper support section. The inner cylinder may be rotated relative to the outer cylinder to cause the hook members to move downwardly to capture the upper support section ring and to hold a tire interposed between the upper and lower support sections.
