The invention relates to a screw gun including a driving unit fitted with a slidable cartridge holder adapted for receiving and indexing a separate cartridge containing a plurality of screws. The invention further relates to the replaceable cartridge containing the plurality of screws for use in a screw gun. The invention allows for the loading and insertion of a plurality of screws from a cartridge without requiring a worker to handle and insert the individual screws into the driver.

Screw gun

An apparatus is provided for packaging fasteners such as screws, that is to be worn by a user. The packaging device includes a tray with a plurality of wells, each well accommodating the shank of a respective fastener. An attachment device is used for securing a tray to a user. In a preferred dispensing method, fasteners may be dispensed from the tray using a magnetized screwdriver bit which is placed over the head of the fastener, followed by withdrawing the screwdriver bit with the fastener magnetically attached.

Packaging device for fasteners

An apparatus for making expandable honeycomb structures suitable for use as window coverings. In one embodiment, folded tubular strips with adhesive lines are fed continuously through a cutter which cuts them into predetermined lengths. The cut strips are then accelerated to a stacker for further processing before the next cut strip arrives. In another embodiment, webs of material are fed continuously in a downstream direction, adhesive lines are applied, a middle web is slitted into strips, and the strips bonded along opposite edges to the outer webs. By choosing for the outer webs transparent or porous material, and for the middle web opaque material, a light or air controlling honeycomb structure results.

Method for fabricating honeycomb material

The invention relates to an improved system for connecting the ends of sheet metal ducts wherein each duct end is provided with a double walled frame. Corner connectors defining perpendicularly extending arms are associated with each frame, and bolts or other fasteners are utilized for connecting the connectors and frames. The respective double walled frames comprise integral sections at the duct ends. The sections include an upturned portion extending perpendicularly outwardly from the duct wall, a second portion bent rearwardly from the outer end of the first portion, a third return portion, and an inner wall portion extending from the outer end of the third portion and forming a L-shaped portion. When the frame is formed in this fashion, it is adapted to receive the side edges of respective arms of corner connectors whereby the ducts may be efficiently assembled by locating corner connectors in place and thereafter applying the fasteners used for maintaining the assembly.

An apparatus for inserting angle plates or corners into channel flanges of ducts which is compact and mobile is described. The apparatus includes wheels for portability and a corner supply magazine which is in essentially a vertical position or an angle position relative to a base plate to permit utilization of the device in various environments and which permits the device to be utilized with duct sections having various shapes. The apparatus operates on a controlled cycle and once the cycle is started, a sequence of operations is automatically performed until the angle plate is inserted into the flange and crimped.

An apparatus for and method of installing angle plates at the corners of ducts which has at the opposite ends of each panel of the duct channel shaped flanges into which is installed an angle plate with the angle plates being utilized to secure adjacent ducts together utilizing fasteners. The angle plates are configurated so as to be automatically fed by way of a supply hopper and associated machinery is constructed whereby a lowermost angle plate in a stack is automatically fed into position overlying duct channel flanges after the duct has been clamped in place followed by the forcing of the angle plate into the duct channel flanges and the securement of the angle plate in place. There is a notch in each corner of the duct between adjacent channel flanges and the angle plate is initially positioned with a corner portion thereof tilted downwardly into the notch, after which the angle plate is pressed into the two channel flanges. The machine may place two angle flanges into two corners of one end of the duct and, further, there may be two sets of machinery so as to simultaneously place angle plates into the channel flanges at both the bottom and top of a duct. Finally, the duct may come with two portions joined by a seam which is automatically locked together at the time of the placement of the angle plates.
