A dispenser and display device is suspended by a ceiling element that is inserted in a drop ceiling in place of a standard drop ceiling panel. The ceiling element has a number of channels formed to run in different directions, so that the dispenser can assume various orientations. The dispenser has a main body that has gravity feed, article-holding trays movably mounted inside so that the trays can be released without removal from the main body. The trays can be rearranged relative to the main body so that dispensing of articles can take place from the front, rear, or both sides of the main body.

A rack module for storing a stack of cigarette packs for individual manual dispensing includes a box shaped open front body member having complementary dove tail couplings formed on its top and bottom faces and pivot pins on its upper forward side borders. A visor member includes a face wall and upwardly rearwardly extending side hinge plates having on its upper borders transversely spaced pairs of laterally aligned hinge bores selectively engaging the pivot pins. Bosses on the body member side wall engage recesses in the hinge plates to releasably lock the visor member in its vertical closed position in transverse registry with the body member opening. A resiliently compressible pad with a pressure sensitive adhesive outer face is positioned on a body member vertical face.

Rack module

A row divider shelf module for holding and dispensing cigarette packs and for use with a pair of transversely spaced resilient vertical strip panels and a rearwardly spaced rear wall includes an upwardly forwardly inclined base plate, an upwardly rearwardly inclined rear wall and skirt walls depending from the base plate edges and the upper edge of the rear wall. Located on each of the side skirt walls is a rear stop having a rear forwardly outwardly inclined cam face and a parallel front channel-shaped stop, the module being inserted between the strip panels which are spread by the stop cam faces and then return to be embraced between respective front and rear stops. A pad having a pressure sensitive adhesive rear face is located on the module rear face and engages the rear wall.
