A method of assembling a razor cartridge. A housing is injection molded. An elastomer is co-injection molded to the housing forming a pair of laterally spaced apart blade stabilizers. A primary blade member having a cutting edge is mounted to the housing. The cutting edge of the primary blade member is contacted with the laterally spaced apart blade stabilizers. A blade retention member is mounted to a top surface of the housing. A pair of lateral ends of the cutting edge of the primary blade member is constrained between the blade retention member and the pair of laterally spaced apart blade stabilizers.

Shaving razor cartridge

A shaving razor cartridge with a housing having a guard and a cap. A pair of laterally spaced apart blade stabilizers are on the housing. A primary blade member is positioned between the guard and the cap. A blade retention member is mounted to a top surface of the housing. The primary blade member has a cutting edge constrained between the blade retention member and the pair of laterally spaced apart blade stabilizers.

A razor cartridge is provided including a blade unit having a first side wall, a second side wall, and a pair of end walls interconnecting the first side wall and the second side wall and one or both of the side walls of the blade unit having at least one connection member. A plurality of blades secured to the blade unit with a clip positioned at each end of the blade unit adjacent to the end walls. A frame is provided having a first interior wall and a second interior wall spaced apart from first interior wall that define an opening extending completely through the frame. One or more of the interior walls of the frame include at least one connection member, the latter engaged with the at least one connection member of the blade unit so that the frame is secured to the blade unit.

Razor cartridge

A razor blade cartridge which has a housing with a proximal end portion, a distal end portion, and one or more blades mounted within the housing. An elongated resilient skin contacting element is joined to the proximal end portion of the housing. The elongated resilient skin contacting element has an alignment array of skin contacting members having a pattern of one or more flexible skin-engaging projections that are generally transverse to one or more of the blades and define a plurality of open channels that facilitate the generally unobstructed passage of hair to one or more of the blades during shaving. The elongated resilient skin contacting element also has at least one additional array of skin contacting members having a pattern that is different than the pattern of the alignment array of skin contacting members.

Shaving cartridges having a plurality of arrays

A shaving razor adapter used to attach a disposable shaving razor cartridge of a first shaving razor configuration to a shaving razor handle of a second shaving razor configuration. The shaving razor adapter includes a first attachment portion which resembles the connecting end of the shaving razor handle of the first shaving razor configuration. The first attachment portion attaches the adapter to the shaving razor cartridge of the first shaving razor configuration. The second attachment portion of the adapter resembles the connecting member of a shaving razor cartridge of a second shaving razor configuration that interfaces with the connecting end of the handle of the second shaving razor configuration. The second attachment portion of the adapter releasably attaches the adapter to the connecting end of the shaving razor handle of the second shaving razor configuration.

A method of manufacturing a razor cartridge by providing a blade unit having a first side wall, a second side wall, and a pair of end walls interconnecting the first side wall and the second side wall. A plurality of blades are secured to the blade unit with a clip positioned at each end of the blade unit adjacent to one of the end walls. Each blade has a blade edge contacting a bottom surface of each of the clips. A frame is provided having a first interior wall and a second interior wall spaced apart from first interior wall that define an opening extending completely through the frame. The blade unit is positioned within the opening of a frame after securing the blades to the blade unit, such that the frame surrounds the blade unit. The blade unit is secured to the frame.

Method of manufacturing a razor cartridge

A hand-held pressurized product dispenser including a container containing a product under pressure, a valve mechanism and base structure at the top of the container, a nozzle that moves between an unactuated position and a discharge position, and a side lever that extends along the can and is movable to move the nozzle from the unactuated position to the discharge position. The dispenser also has a dome that is rotatably connected to the base structure and surrounds the nozzle and interacts with the nozzle to cause rotation of the nozzle between a locked position and an unlocked position. The nozzle has one or more downwardly directed feet that align with solid areas of an upwardly directed surface in the locked position and that align with open areas of the base structure in the unlocked position, such that the nozzle is free to move into the discharge position.

An applicator for local application of a liquid to a person's skin. The applicator includes a porous dome, a chamber under the dome, a squeeze bottle providing a reservoir containing the liquid, and a tube from the squeeze bottle to the chamber. The porous dome has pores sized to provide liquid transport therein by capillary action. The chamber provides a location for liquid in position to be transported into dome. Increased pressure in the reservoir from squeezing the bottle causes liquid to flow from the reservoir through the tube to the chamber, and decreased pressure in the reservoir from releasing the bottle causes excess liquid in the chamber to flow from the chamber through the tube to the reservoir. The applicator can include a squeeze bottle having a relatively rigid molded open-end portion connected to a porous dome and an integral flexible, blow-molded reservoir portion that can be squeezed to a reduced volume condition to deliver liquid to the dome and has memory to return to an unsqueezed volume condition.

Liquid applicator

The invention features, in general, a foaming product that includes a container, a valve stem extending upward from the top of the container, a nozzle member, and a waste product containment region located above the top of the container. The valve stem is movable downward to permit discharge of the foaming product from the container through the stem. The nozzle member includes a flow passage for directing the foaming product from the top of the valve stem to a discharge outlet and a movable portion that is movable between a discharge position and an inactive position. When the movable portion is in the discharge position, the valve stem is actuated to permit discharge of product into the flow passage and out of the discharge outlet, and the flow passage does not communicate with the containment region. When the movable portion is in the inactive position, the valve is not actuated, and the flow passage communicates with the waste product containment region such that undischarged foaming product in the flow channel is directed to the waste product containment region.
