Methods, systems, and devices supporting virtual cryptographic key ceremonies are described. A server may receive a plurality of public keys and a plurality of digital signatures comprising data encrypted using a plurality of private keys, where each private key of the plurality of private keys corresponds to a respective public key of the plurality of public keys. The server may generate a quorum token based on the plurality of signatures and the plurality of public keys, where generating the quorum token is based on the plurality of signatures representing at least a threshold number of pools. The server may receive a plurality of encrypted shares associated with respective pools of a plurality of pools, generate a master wrapping key based on generating the quorum token and receiving the plurality of encrypted shares, unwrap a root key using the master wrapping key, and generate a certificate based on the root key.

Thiazolidinedione (TZD) and its pharmacologically active derivatives can be used in combination with agonists of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), to treat non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, optionally with other therapies, by improving glycemic control while minimizing side effects, such as heart hypertrophy and elevated fed-state plasma glucose, which are associated with both TZD and GLP-1 monotherapies. Inflatable dual-walled speculums, used for gynecological examinations, that are controllably inflated by the patient with a warmed fluid are provided. A retaining device inserted after inflation of the speculum provides a base and safety for the use of other instruments during the examination. Control of the device by the patient results in a more comfortable examination environment for the patient.

The claimed polypeptides promote glucose uptake by cells but do not stimulate insulin expression or secretion. The invention also provides methods for treating diabetes and pharmaceutical formulations comprising the claimed polypeptides.
