Apparatus has a forming die on a boom with the boom being positionable so that the forming die can be urged outward against the damaged wall of a container. Hammering on the outside of the container against the forming die reshapes the container wall to its original contours.

Container repair apparatus

The gaging system is for measuring the position of reference locations on an automobile chassis with respect to the standard location at proper configuration. The gaging system comprises a locator bed with a replaceable grid paper thereon which has standard locations marked on the grid paper. Adjustable length plumb lines are supported from the reference locations and, when the chassis is in correct configuration, the plumb bobs point to the location marks on the grid paper. The locator bed can be removed for chassis bending, but the plumb lines and their bobs can remain in place during the bending operation.

Chassis gaging system

A movable hoisting apparatus having a pair of spaced apart legs with each leg having two substantially vertical columns, beams extending between the forward columns and the rear columns of each leg, a trolley movable along each of the beams, a lifting frame, sheaves mounted on the lifting frame and trolley sheaves mounted on the trolley, a power drum, a cable extending from the power drum in opposite directions, over the trolley sheaves, downward and around the lifting frame sheaves, upward over the trolley sheaves and forming a crossover portion of the cable between the trolley sheaves and variable brake means retarding the movement of the crossover cable portion to reduce swaying motion of the lifting frame and its load without interfering with the raising and lowering of the lifting frame and load.
