A method for manufacturing a heat exchanger includes stacking a plurality of parting sheets, a plurality of lengthwise closure bars, and a plurality of widthwise closure bars to form a rectangular first heat exchanger section. The first heat exchanger section includes at least one widthwise passage extending between a pair of the widthwise closure bars and at least one lengthwise passage extending between a pair of the lengthwise closure bars. The method also includes brazing the rectangular first heat exchanger section together and cutting a first side and a second side of the rectangular first heat exchanger section to give the first heat exchanger section a tapered-trapezoid profile. The method further includes brazing an end of a second heat exchanger section to the first or second side of the first heat exchanger section.

Method for manufacturing a curved heat exchanger using wedge shaped segments

A heat exchanger assembly includes first and second annular ducts, first and second airflow pathways, and heat exchanger. The first airflow pathway is configured to transport a first airflow and is disposed within the first annular duct. The second annular duct is disposed radially outward from the first annular duct. The second airflow pathway is configured to transport a second airflow and is disposed between the first and second annular ducts. The heat exchanger includes inner and outer portions. The inner portion is disposed radially inward of the first annular duct and is fluidly connected to the first airflow pathway. The outer portion is disposed between the first and second annular ducts and is fluidly connected to the second airflow pathway. The heat exchanger is configured to cool a third airflow with both of the first and second airflows from the first and second airflow pathways.

Curved heat exchanger

A butterfly valve having a valve body is provided. The butterfly valve includes a valve disk assembly rotationally coupled to the valve body. The valve disk assembly has a disk member with a first surface disposed about a periphery having a first diameter and a second surface offset from the first surface. A seal ring is arranged adjacent the first surface, the seal ring having a first outer surface with a second diameter, wherein the second diameter is larger than the first diameter. A retainer is coupled to the second surface adjacent the seal ring opposite the first surface. The retainer has inner surface arranged to radially constraining the seal ring on the disk member.

Butterfly valve

A disclosed connector assembly for a refrigerant system mounted within an aircraft includes a metal seal disposed within a seal bore of a connector and compressed against a seal face of a nipple secured to the connector by a threaded member. The connector includes a seal bore that receives the metal seal with the inner portion of the seal bore open to the bore. In one example, the connector and nut are formed from aluminum and the nipple is formed from stainless steel and includes an aluminum coating applied to surfaces in contact with the metal seal and the connector.
