The present disclosure concerns embodiments of multi-lumen cannulae that can be used in various different medical procedures. The multi-lumen cannulae can comprise an elongated body comprising multiple different ports that connect to various different sidewall lumens contained within the elongated body. The multi-lumen cannulae can also comprise a central lumen that extends through the entire elongated body and can be fluidly connected to the various different sidewall lumens. The multi-lumen cannulae can further comprise two balloons on an exterior of the elongated body, which can be used to isolate a right atrium of a patient's heart.

Multi-lumen cannulae

A device for deploying a suture clip onto a suture can include a proximal handle portion that includes an actuation mechanism. The device can also include an outer shaft defining an inner lumen. A crimping assembly can be at least partially disposed within a distal end of the outer shaft. The crimping assembly can include a plurality of crimping members configured to receive and radially compress a suture clip. The actuating mechanism can be configured to move the plurality of crimping members radially inwardly from a first position, where the crimping members are configured to receive a suture clip, to a second position where the plurality of crimping members are configured to radially compress the suture clip, causing the suture clip to plastically deform and become secured around one or more sutures.

Suture clips, deployment devices therefor, and methods of use

Described herein are systems and methods for securing sutures that obviate the need for tying knots. Instead of tying two ends of a suture or two sutures together with a knot, two or more suture portions can be fused or cauterized together using heat. A device can be applied to adjacent suture portions that heats the suture portions and causes the suture portions to fuse together, effectively securing the suture portions together without a knot. Such devices can include a shaft, a heating element positioned within the shaft, and a suture holder at the distal end of the shaft. The holder in an open position receives sutures and in a closed position holds the sutures. Actuation of the device causes the heating element to apply heat and fuse together sutures held by the holder. The holder can separate from the fused sutures after the sutures are fused together.

Systems for securing sutures

Described herein are systems and methods for securing sutures that obviate the need for tying knots. A device can be applied to adjacent suture portions that heats the suture portions and causes the suture portions to fuse together, effectively securing the suture portions together without a knot. The device can include a handle, an outer shaft coupled to the handle, an inner shaft movable proximally and distally within the outer shaft; a suture holder at the distal end portion of the outer shaft, and an electrical heating element positioned within the outer shaft. Actuation of the device causes the inner shaft and the heating element to move distally relative to the outer shaft and the suture holder, such that the heating element moves into the proximity of the suture holder to fuse together sutures held by the suture holder.
