An apparatus for packing a parachute is presented, the apparatus including an expander member extending along a longitudinal axis and having at least a ramp portion that extends in the direction from a first end of the expander member to a second end of the expander member. The ramp portion has an outer surface expanding in perimeter shape from the first end to the second end of the expander member. A channel defined from inner surfaces of the ramp portion extends along the longitudinal axis from an opening at the second end of the expander member towards the first end. The first end of the expander member is configured to engage a substantially unexpanded loop of a stowage device and to expand the perimeter shape of the loop as the loop is moved along the longitudinal axis from the first end to the second end.

The present invention generally relates to nicotinic compounds, in the form of aryl substituted olefinic compounds, as well as pro-drug, N-oxide, metabolite and pharmaceutically acceptable salt forms thereof. Methods of modulating neurotransmitter release via administration of the compounds, pro-drugs, N-oxides and/or pharmaceutically acceptable salts are also disclosed.

Patients susceptible to or suffering from disorders, such as central nervous system disorders, which are characterized by an alteration in normal neurotransmitter release, such as dopamine release (e.g., Parkinsonism, Parkinson's Disease, Tourette's Syndrome, attention deficient disorder, or schizophrenia) are treated by administering an endo or exo form of a 1-aza-2-(3-pyridyl)bicyclo&lsqb;2.2.1&rsqb;heptane, a 1-aza-2-(3-pyridyl)bicyclo &lsqb;2.2.2&rsqb;octane, a 1-aza-2-(3-pyridyl)bicyclo&lsqb;3.2.2&rsqb;nonane, a 1-aza-7-(3-pyridyl) bicyclo&lsqb;2.2.1&rsqb;heptane, a 1-aza-3-(3-pyridyl)bicyclo&lsqb;3.2.2&rsqb;nonane, or a 1-aza-7-(3-pyridyl)bicyclo&lsqb;3.2.2&rsqb;nonane.

Pharmaceutical compositions for treating and/or preventing CNS disorders

Patients susceptible to or suffering from central nervous system disorders are treated by administering effective amounts of aryl substituted aliphatic amine compounds, aryl substituted olefinic amine compounds or aryl substituted acetylenic amine compounds. Pharmaceutical compositions and methods for use

Pharmaceutical compositions incorporate compounds that affect cytokine production and/or secretion. Such compounds include aryl substituted olefinic amine compounds, pyridyloxylalkylamines and phenoxyalkylamines, and aryl substituted amine compounds, such as 3-aminophenyl amine compounds. Such pharmaceutical compositions can be used for treating a wide variety of conditions, diseases and disorders, and particularly those associated with dysfunction of cytokine production and/or secretion. Of particular interest are pharmaceutical compositions useful for preventing and treating conditions, diseases and disorders associated with undesirably high levels of cytokine production and/or secretion. Such pharmaceutical compositions are useful for treating the effects of inflammatory bowel disease, inflammation, arthritis, cachexia in neoplastics diseases or associated with AIDS, and autoimmune diseases.
