A scope system is provided including an elongate tube with a distal portion and a lumen extending therethrough. The scope system also includes at least one accessory channel including a tubular structure with an accessory lumen extending therethrough, the at least one accessory channel movably disposed at least partially within the lumen of the elongate tube. The at least one accessory channel includes a distal section and a forward-viewing configuration and a side-viewing configuration. In the forward-viewing configuration, the distal section of the at least one accessory channel is substantially parallel to the distal portion of the elongate tube and in the side-viewing configuration, the distal section of the at least one accessory channel is arced at a radius greater than a radius of the distal portion of the elongate tube.

Flexible endoscopic support system

A scope system is provided including an elongate tube with a distal portion and a lumen extending therethrough. The scope system also includes at least one accessory channel extending from a proximal end to a distal end and having with an accessory lumen extending therethrough, the at least one accessory channel movably disposed at least partially within the lumen of the elongate tube. The at least one accessory channel includes a distal section and a forward-viewing configuration and a side-viewing configuration. In the forward-viewing configuration, the distal section of the at least one accessory channel is substantially parallel to the distal portion of the elongate tube and in the side-viewing configuration, the distal section of the at least one accessory channel is arced at a radius greater than a radius of the distal portion of the elongate tube.

A graft having a tubular body having a first end configured for attachment to a first vessel having a first compliance and second end configured for attachment to a second vessel having a second compliance different from the first compliance, and having a plurality of compressible chambers in the wall of the tubular body in which the chamber adjacent the first end of the tubular body is less compressible than the chamber adjacent the second end of the tubular body such that first end of the tubular body substantially matches the first compliance and the second end of the tubular body substantially matches the second compliance.

A stent is provided having a plurality of intersecting elongated members arranged to form a plurality of cells, the plurality of cells defining an elongated tube with a lumen running therethrough. The elongated tube has first, second, and third sections, the first section having a substantially first diameter and the third section having a substantially constant second diameter that is larger than the substantially constant first diameter of the first section, wherein the diameter of the second section transitions from the first diameter to the second diameter. Each of the plurality of cells within the first section have a pitch that is tighter than each of the plurality of cells within the second and third sections. In the second section, the plurality of intersecting elongated members includes a plurality of pairs of elongated members, wherein each pair of elongated members includes two adjacent elongated members twisted axially around each other.

A stent is provided having a plurality of intersecting elongated members arranged to form a plurality of cells, which define an elongated tube with a lumen. The elongated tube has first and second sections, the first section having a substantially constant first diameter, the second section having a substantially constant second diameter that is larger than the first diameter. The elongated tube also has a transition section between the first and second sections, the transition section having a concave curvature extending proximally from the first section and a convex curvature extending proximally from the concave curvature to the second portion. A proximal end of the second section has a plurality of rounded ends formed by the plurality of intersecting elongated members. Each of the plurality of cells within the first section have a pitch that is tighter than each of the plurality of cells within the second section.

Non-cylindrical variable pitch mesh top stent

A graft for inducing helical blood flow, including a tubular body with fluid inflow and fluid outflow ends, and with inner and outer sidewalls. A lumen extends between the fluid inflow end and fluid outflow end. A compressible chamber is disposed between the outer sidewall and the inner sidewall. The compressible chamber has an incompressible seam that follows a substantially helical path around a longitudinal axis of the tubular body. When internal (e.g., blood) pressure increases on the inner sidewall, a vane element is formed that follows the substantially helical path around the longitudinal axis of the tubular body. The vane element may induce helical blood flow. The width of the compressible chamber may decrease in a compressed state (e.g., systole). The chamber may be filled with a predetermined amount of at least one of a gas, liquid, or vapor. The graft may have a second incompressible seam/vane.

Medical devices and related methods for closing a perforation in a bodily wall are provided. The medical device generally includes an introducer device having a base defining a plurality of recesses formed therein. Visceral staples are disposed within the recesses in a delivery state and are biased toward a deployed state. A holding mechanism retains the staples in the delivery state, and the holding mechanism is moveable relative to the base to allow the staples to extend out of the recesses. The biased nature of the staples will cause them to transition into the deployed state after the staples have been released, such that the staples will thereby pierce adjacent tissue and remain closed. The holding mechanism can be retractable or pivotable out of engagement with the staples. The introducer device can include upper and lower jaws or a slidable cover relative to the base.

Stapling device and method

A delivery system for a self-expanding medical device is provided. The delivery system includes an outer sheath that radially restrains the medical device. An inner catheter is disposed within the outer sheath. The inner catheter is a composite structure with an inner layer adhered to the inner diameter of a closed coil wire. The inner catheter has a wave-like pattern along the outer surface that is exposed to the inner surface of the outer sheath.
