A stent delivery system for positioning a first and second stent the first and second branch lumens of a bifurcation. The stent delivery system includes stent introducers and a sheath or catheter having a frangible wall. A method of delivering stents to anatomies such as bifurcated ducts or vessels.

Stent introducer system

A medical apparatus assembly ( ) comprises a medical device ( ) that includes a side port assembly adapted to combine a first pathway ( ) for infusion of fluids with a second pathway ( ) for wire guide ( ) into a first passageway ( ) while the second passageway ( ) includes the third pathway ( ), which comprises a control member ( ), such as an electrical wire. The side port assembly is configured such that the first passageway communicates with both a first port ( ), such as a fitting for connecting to a syringe, and a second port ( ) which includes a sealing mechanism ( ), such as a Tuohy-Borst fitting, thereby allowing the wire guide to be preloaded, instead of requiring it to be removed prior to infusing fluids. Medical device with improved wire guide access

The invention is directed to an improved infusion pump ( ). In the preferred embodiment, the infusion pump is comprised of an elastomeric hollow balloon ( ) and a longitudinal member ( ), the balloon having an axial and radial dimension and an open end ( ), the longitudinal member ( ) having an insertion member ( ) extending into the hollow portion ( ) of the balloon, the insertion member and the balloon being so configured that the insertion member stretches the elastomeric balloon in the radial direction, but does not stretch the balloon in an axial direction, whereby the infusion pump delivers the quantity of liquid at a substantially constant flow rate. The present invention also discloses an infusion pump comprising a hollow inert membrane ( ), an insertion member extending into the hollow portion ( ) of the membrane, and the insertion member and the membrane extending into the hollow portion of the balloon, such that the membrane is between the insertion member and the balloon.
