Embodiments generally relate to providing litigation management for multiple remote content systems using asynchronous bi-directional replication pipelines. In some embodiments, a method includes retrieving, at one or more inbound replicators of one or more respective bi-directional pipelines, metadata associated with documents stored in one or more content repositories. The method further includes resolving, at a governance control hub, conflicts associated with legal holds on one or more of the documents based on the metadata. The method further includes sending conflict resolution results from one or more outbound applicators of the bi-directional pipelines to the content repositories, where the content repositories enforce legal holds on the documents.

The client includes a plugin program that interacts with a network browser, in which the plugin program includes an unpacking module for unpacking the packed response message from the server. By delivering the plurality of requested objects in a single response message the objects are delivered over a single communication session thereby avoiding setting up and tearing down a plurality of communication sessions and reducing overhead processing. The objects can be thumbnail images forming the results of a search query.

A user interacts with the storage system through the STB, sending navigation commands to the storage system via the STB. The navigation commands available to a user are generated by combining the navigation rules with the user's access privileges. The user can send navigation commands via a remote controller which sends cursor control commands to the STB. Alternatively, the user can send navigation commands via a virtual reality interface.

A system, method, and computer product that accelerates encryption and decryption of data while using both a static key and a dynamic key. The present invention eliminates intermediate decryption of data that is transmitted between computer systems. More particularly, encryption efficiency is improved by eliminating decryption of the statically encrypted data while incorporating the advantages of a dynamic key such as enabling rapid change of the dynamic key. The efficiency improvements reduce the computer resources required to protect the data and therefore stronger data encryption may be enabled with the saved computer resources. End-to-end security of the data is maintained without the need for trusted data servers.

A system, method and computer readable medium for providing secure IP-based streaming in a format independent manner is disclosed. The method on a content mastering system begins with an encoded media file consisting of content data and associated metadata. First, the metadata is read from the encoded media file. Next, the encoded media file including the content data and the associated metadata is encrypted. Then, in a streaming server system, the encoded/encrypted media file is divided into more than one data packet, streamed in accordance with one or more parameters in the metadata. Each data packet includes a portion of the encoded/encrypted media file and an offset value corresponding to a location within the encoded/encrypted media file. The data packets are then streamed to a client information processing system (i.e., the client) over a network.

The present invention is directed to a multimedia data storage system for storing multimedia data including a media server which stores media data on a short-term basis, and a media archive which stores media data on a long-term basis relative to the media server. The media archive is connected to the media server, which operates as a cache device for the media archive, for transmission of media data between the media archive and the media server. According to the present invention, a volume of the media data stored in the media server is controlled based on user-defined parameters. The present invention is also directed to a method of managing a media server as a cache device for a media archive within a multimedia data storage system. The media server stores media data on a short-term basis, whereas the media archive stores media data on a long-term basis relative to the media server. The media archive is connected to the media server for transmission of media data therebetween. According to the present invention, the method of managing includes determining a volume of the media data stored in the media server and controlling the volume of the media data stored in the media server based on user-defined parameters. The present invention is also directed to a computer-readable medium of instructions to be implemented in a multimedia data storage system including a media server and a media archive. The media server stores media data on a short-term basis and the media archive stores media data on a long-term basis relative to the media server. The media archive is connected to the media server for transmission of media data therebetween. The inventive computer-readable medium of instructions includes means for determining a volume of the media data stored in the media server and means for controlling the volume of the media data stored in the media server based on user-defined parameters.

A process is provided for managing operations including encoding operations in a network system including an administrator terminal, at least one server communicatively coupled to the administrator terminal via a computer network, and at least one multimedia device operative to generate media data and being communicatively coupled with a corresponding one of the servers. Each of the servers is operative to selectively activate the corresponding multimedia device, and is also operative to encode media data received from the corresponding multimedia device, and is further operative to access a corresponding memory device for storing media data. The process includes the steps of: displaying a graphical user interface including a server select interface component enabling a user of the administrator terminal to select one of the servers, and a mode select interface component enabling the user to select between a manual encoding mode of operation enabling the user to manually start and stop a manual encoding process performed by a selected server, and a scheduled encoding mode of operation enabling the user to define a schedule for automatically starting and stopping a scheduled encoding process to be performed by a selected server. User input is received, the input including server identification information indicative of a selected server, mode information indicative of a selected mode of operation, and encoding operation information defined based on the selected mode of operation. Commands and associated parameters, generated based on the encoding operation information, are transmitted to the selected server via the network.

The process begins with a step of displaying a graphical user interface including a plurality of interface components on a display unit of the administrator terminal, the components enabling a user of the administrator terminal to define and schedule operations to be performed by selected ones of the media servers on corresponding portions of media data. User input includes: server identification information indicative of a selected media server; operation information specifying an operation to be performed by the selected media server on a selected portion of media data, and schedule information specifying a schedule for performing the specified operation. Commands and associated parameters are generated based on the operation information and schedule information, the commands and associated parameters for instructing the selected media server to execute the specified operation in accordance with the specified schedule.
