A tonneau system that includes a retraction system having a track; and a tonneau cover having a plurality of tonneau sections, including: one or more latch bar connectors, each including a male latch connector and a female latch connector; a tonneau cap including: one or more tail connectors, each including a male connector and a female connector; the male connector engages the female latch connector and the female connector engages the male latch connector to form a fixed connection between the tonneau cap and the plurality of tonneau sections, the retraction system moves the tonneau cover, the tonneau cap extends beyond the track when the tonneau cover is in the closed position and the connection between the one or more latch bar connectors and the one or more tail connectors support the tonneau cap when the tonneau cap extends beyond the track.

Bias regulated rolling truck bed cover

A tonneau system that includes a tonneau cover and a canister. The canister includes one or more tracks for guiding the tonneau cover within the canister during movement of the tonneau cover relative to the canister; and a retraction system including: a drive roller; one or more drive gears; and a bias member that moves the drive roller and the one or more gears to assist in moving the tonneau cover relative to the canister.

A tonneau system that includes one or more tonneau sections and a retraction system. The retraction system has an adjuster shaft; a bias member; a drive roller in communication with the adjuster shaft; one or more lines connected to the one or more tonneau sections and/or to the drive roller; and an adjuster to adjust torque provided by the bias member. A tonneau system that includes tonneau cover and a canister. A retraction system for a tonneau cover system, the retraction system includes: an adjuster shaft; a bias member disposed around the adjuster shaft; a drive roller in communication with the bias member; an adjuster configured to permit rotation of the bias member to increase or decrease an amount of force or torque provided by the bias member; a line connected to the drive roller and to one or more tonneau sections of the tonneau cover system, and a clamp that extends around the adjuster.

A tonneau system comprising: (a) a plurality of tonneau sections; (b) a retraction system including: (i) a drive roller; (ii) a pulley spaced apart from the drive roller; (iii) a track extending from a location proximate to the drive roller to a location proximate to the pulley; and (iv) a line connected to the drive roller and one or more of the plurality of tonneau sections; wherein the line extends between the one or more of the plurality of tonneau sections and the driver roller when the plurality of tonneau sections are in the closed position, and the line extends from the one or more of the plurality of tonneau sections around the pulley and to the drive roller when the plurality of tonneau sections are in the stored position.

Side rails can include a longitudinally extending rail track having support surfaces and a plurality of longitudinally extending linear grooves. A storage housing can provide storage tracks in alignment with the forward end of the rail tracks. In addition, a roll-up tonneau cover can include a plurality of slats pivotally connected together. Corresponding first and second sides of the slats can be supported above the grooves on a respective one of the support surfaces of the rail tracks. The slats can be movable along the support surfaces between a storage arrangement wherein the slats are supported by the storage tracks to provide access to the cargo box, and a deployed arrangement wherein the slats are supported by the support surfaces of the rail tracks to cover the cargo box.

Roll-up tonneau cover system with grooved side rails

A latch can be movably mounted to each of the side rails for movement between an unlocked position and a locked position. A release actuator can be movably mounted to the rear header to extend adjacent both latches for movement between a non-release position and a release position. When the rear header is seated in the rear header seat and the release actuator is in the non-release position, each latch engages the rear header in the locked position to lock the rear header and side rails together. When the rear header is seated in the rear header seat and the release actuator is moved toward the release position, the release actuator engages both latches and moves the latches to the unlocked position to unlock the rear header from both of the side rails.
