Example embodiments relate to a system for filling a stand-up pouch. The system includes a pouch fill injector having a pouch fill spout, a seal jaw assembly having a first jaw and second jaw with receiving areas to interface with the pouch fill tube, and a pouch opening device to open an end of a pouch. Unlike prior art systems, the system of example embodiments does not require a vacuum assist to fill a stand-up pouch.

An apparatus for use with various shearing machines for safely and efficiently positioning material to be worked. Magnets which control the material are embedded in a body made of non-magnetic material. Magnets are positioned in the forward end of the apparatus for holding the material being worked while other magnets are positioned in the body of the apparatus for adhering the apparatus to the machine table. A handle is provided for sliding the material into the proper position.

The Internal Combustion Engine Efficiency Unit (&ldquo;ICEEU&rdquo;) is a device that improves the fuel efficiency of vehicles powered by internal combustion engines, producing low-emission vehicles. It accomplishes this by replacing a single larger engine with two smaller engines, connected together via the ICEEU to produce a single rotary output that powers the vehicle. Both engines are used together when power is needed, but one engine can be shut down when the vehicle is cruising and needs less power to simply maintain its forward momentum. The ICEEU effectively removes the second engine completely from the power train when it is unneeded, so that it does not produce any drag, and also allows the second engine to reenter the power train as needed at any RPM or torque. The ICEEU comprises an open differential and two planetary gear sets to provide the phase shifting ratio that allows for a pair of internal combustion engines to be integrated and separated smoothly throughout operation.

A display system reduces latent image formation by shifting an image between a first position and a second position, displaced only a few pixels from the first position. Preferably, the image is displayed briefly simultaneously at the first and second positions and then displayed only in the second position for a second predetermined time period.

A visual display screen is partitioned into a plurality of screen portions. Power drivers associated with the screen portions are grouped selectively according to the number of screen portions. The power supplied to each group of drivers is selectively controlled to select which screen portions receive power at any given time. In the event that a screen portion is not active for a current display after a preselected minimum amount of time, that screen portion is disabled because the power to that screen portion is selectively turned off.

Based upon the information from the input device, the display controller selects one of a plurality of graphics stored on a local memory.
