A device adapted to be positioned between two bone regions, the device comprising a body having a stabilising arrangement configured such that bone growing from one bone region toward the other engages the stabilising arrangement of the device.

Fusion device

A device adapted to be positioned between two bone regions, the device comprising at least one wall defining at least one interior cavity, and, a load arrangement extending from the wall and comprising at least one interacting feature configured to load material positioned within the cavity by interacting with either a second interacting feature or the wall.

Devices for bone integration

Technologies are generally provided for devices, systems, and methods to provide spinal fixation, spinal stabilization, and/or spinal fusion. Example devices may include a first end and a second end with a middle portion extending between the first and second end. The first end may be configured to be in contact with a portion of a first or upper vertebra and the second end may be configured to be in contact with a portion of a second or lower vertebra in an adjacent vertebral pair. Portions of the vertebra which may be in contact with the device may include lamina, processes, vertebral bodies, and facet joints. The example devices may include bone engagement features, such as screws or similar fasteners, to enhance stabilization and fixation when in contact with the vertebrae. Additionally, the devices may include a bone integration feature to promote bone growth and to facilitate fusion between the vertebrae.

Spine stabilization device

Technologies are generally provided for devices and methods for use in bone fixation, bone fusion and/or bone stabilization. In various embodiments, the devices and methods relate to a bone stabilization having a first end, second end and a bridge connecting the first and second ends. The first end has a bone engagement feature and may be fused to bone over time without the use of osteogenic materials.

Bone stabilization device and methods of use

Technologies are generally provided for a spinal fusion device to achieve interbody fusion and maintain intervertebral spacing. The spinal fusion device includes at least two wedge-shaped intervertebral implants (IVIs) configured to be inserted between adjacent vertebrae, such that a thin end of each IVI is positioned toward a midline of the vertebrae, and a thick end of each IVI is positioned substantially flush with outer surfaces of the vertebrae. A lower surface of a superior vertebral body and an upper surface of an adjacent inferior vertebral body are resected to accommodate the IVIs, and a portion of an intervertebral disc (IVD) is also removed to facilitate insertion of the IVIs. The IVIs are inserted in substantially opposite positions to each other between the vertebrae, and an interconnecting member is inserted to connect the IVIs. The interconnecting member passes through residual IVD to stabilize the IVIs in position between the vertebrae.

Interbody fusion device

Technologies are generally provided for a tissue removal device for removing tissue protrusions extending from a wall of intestines. The tissue removal device may be a bell shaped tube configured to slide over an inflamed diverticulum that has been inverted to extend into interior space of the colon. The tissue removal device run be slid over the inverted diverticulum with a portion of the tissue removal device having a widest diameter oriented near the colon wall and a portion having a narrowest diameter oriented near a tip of the diverticulum. A pressure gradient may be induced along the walls of the tissue removal device such that the point of highest pressure at the narrowest opening may cause the walls of the diverticulum to be pinched together to induce necrosis and removal of the diverticulum, while promoting healing of the colon walls over the region of decreasing pressure.

A bone resection device for use in resection of bone during joint replacement surgery includes a handle, an elongate shaft rotatably mounted to the handle, a cutting tool housing attached to the shaft at or towards the distal end of the shaft, at least one cutting tool fastened to the housing, and a pivot control member configured to be at least partially disposed about the elongate shaft, the pivot control member being attached at or toward the distal end of the pivot control member to the at least one cutting tool, the distal end of the pivot control member and the distal end of the shaft being configured to be axially displaceable with respect to one another a predetermined distance, during operation of the device.

Bone resection device

The invention relates to methods and apparatus for therapeutically treating connective tissue or increasing vascularization in tissue using ultrasound. More particularly, the present invention relates to methods and apparatus which use ultrasound to stimulate growth or healing, or to treating pathologies, of connective tissue, or to increase vascularization in ischaemic or grafted tissue using ultrasound.

Method and apparatus for connective tissue treatment

A bone resection device () for use in resection of bone during joint replacement surgery includes a rotatable shaft () having mounted thereon for rotation with the shaft at least two blades () carrying at least one cutting edge (). The bone resection device () further includes a blade positioning mechanism () mounted on the device or engaging with the device at least during use thereof and arranged to cooperate with the blades during rotation thereof to alter the orientation of the cutting edge relative to the shaft such that the shape of the resected surface is determined at least in part by the blade positioning mechanism.
