The present disclosure relates to systems, apparatuses, and methods for performing searches and displaying results within a messaging application. A computing apparatus, which may include a touch-sensitive display, displays a user interface which includes a messaging application interface and a compact search applet interface encompassing a portion of a messaging application interface. A search applet is executed within the memory allocated to the messaging application or parent application. The search applet accepts user input and displays a set of media elements based on a search query run on the user input. The search results are then displayed by the search applet interface, allowing the user to quickly review the search results and, if desired, integrate media content into a message of the messaging application.

Systems and methods of performing searches within a text input application

Systems, methods and computer-readable media for initiating, facilitating and/or performing financial transactions are disclosed. A request associated with a financial transaction may be received on behalf of a requestor. At least one financial account to be debited and at least one financial account to be credited in connection with the financial transaction may be identified based on information included or provided in association with the request. Respective payment networks that provide access to the financial accounts may be identified. One or more of the financial accounts may be accessible in real-time via a respective payment network. A respective debit or credit instruction may be transmitted to each of the identified payment networks to post a debit or credit to a corresponding financial account. Corresponding debit and/or credit status information may be received, and various status indications may be generated and transmitted, potentially for presentation to the requestor.

Systems and methods for performing financial transactions

Disclosed are systems and methods for displaying situationally appropriate data in response to receiving input on a mobile device. The methods may include receiving a first input in an application executed on a mobile device at a directed message server, analyzing the first input for generating a search query, generating the search query based on the first input, transmitting the search query to at least one content server, receiving situationally relevant data from the at least one content server, and transmitting the situationally appropriate data to the mobile device.

The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for transmitting and displaying private messages securely using a mobile device. The mobile device provides a user interface which is displayed on a mobile device while a messaging application is displayed on the mobile device's display. A private messaging applet runs within the keyboard region of a mobile device display, and receives and displays private messages from within the keyboard region of the mobile device display. The private message is displayed by initially obfuscating the entire message, and, based on detecting a user's contact with the display, displaying a smaller portion of the private message in relation to the location of the user's contact with the display. The private message is automatically deleted from the mobile device after the user removes contact with the display. The private messaging applet allows a user to remove a sent private message from a private messaging server.

Systems and methods for transmitting and displaying private message data via a text input application

A technique for identifying a candidate electronic biller having bills available for electronic presentment to a consumer is provided. An electronic commerce service provider receives location information of a first consumer. The service provider accesses information associated with providing a payment service to a second consumer located near the first consumer. This accessing is based on the received location information. At least one potential biller of the first consumer is identified in the accessed information.

Technique for identifying probable billers of a consumer

A technique for making a payment to a payee on behalf of a payor by a payment service provider is provided. A determination is made as to if a requested payment amount is less than a certain amount. The certain amount is associated with the payee and is determined by the service provider, not the payee. If the payment amount is less than the certain amount, payment to the payee on behalf of the payor is made drawn on an account of the service provider.

The service provider identifies one or more risk reduction techniques available for use in fulfilling a received payment request. A selection is made, based upon a received payment request, of a processing parameter from a group of processing parameters. The group of processing parameters consists of at least two of three processing parameters. The three processing parameters are a speed of processing, cost of processing, and a risk of processing. The payment is made according to the selected processing parameter.
