Described is an initial liquid composition with at least antimicrobial, antibacterial, and/or anti-viral properties comprising chelated metal oxide particles suspended in a polyol, such that metal oxide particles are homogeneously dispersed in a primarily liquid based polyol carrier so that chelated metal oxide particles form a stable complex suspension that is optionally an alkaline based aqueous silver oxide dispersion. The liquid composition can be subsequently added to any polymer or polymer compound/system where the polymer degrades or melts at a temperature lower than the polyol carrier degradation or boiling temperature. The metal oxide complex may also impart beneficial semi-conductive or conductive as well as permeability and flammability property changes to the polymer (host) system.

Metal oxide compounds and infusion into polymer compounds

A chitosan solution is formed from chitin, which is a homopolymer of beta (1-4)-linked N-acetyl-D-glucosamine. Rinsed, dried and ground chitin undergoes a process of deacetylation to convert some N-acetyl glucosamine to glucosamine, a primary component of chitosan. The chitosan solution is prepared by mixing 5chitosan with a alpha-hydroxy acid such as glycolic acid. An aqueous chelated silver solution is prepared by mixing silver oxide with a carboxylic acid such as citric acid. The chitosan solution can then be mixed with the silver solution resulting in a cationic complex. The cationic complex of the present invention may then be electrostatically bonded with generally negatively charged surfaces. In use, citrate promotes uptake of the silver by microbes. The antimicrobial complex can be applied via several methods of application, including an impregnated wipe, a foam, a gel, a spray, a lotion and an ointment.

Antimicrobial solution and methods of making and using the same

Described is a homogeneous gel composition with at least antimicrobial, antibacterial, and/or anti-viral properties comprising; a combination of a stable and homogeneous aqueous and/or polyol solution based chelated metal oxide liquid complex suspension and a gel composition free of chelated metal oxides comprising water, polyquaternium, glycerine and hyaluronic acid, wherein the homogeneous gel composition contains chelated metal oxide particles homogeneously suspended in the homogeneous gel composition such that a concentration of the chelated metal oxide particles contained within the homogeneous gel are in a concentration of at least 0.001 weight percent.

Chelated metal oxide gel compositions

The disclosure describes a replacement for petroleum jelly as a base for products which is suitable for most any application for which petroleum jelly can be used. The jelly is a glycerine based composition comprising; vegetable derived glycerine and an emulsifier. The emulsifier can be any known and/or commercially available glucoside containing substance. Other suitable emulsifiers together with glycerine and essential or vegetable based oils with or without inorganic fillers may be added to impart desirable mechanical and physio-chemical properties. In addition, temperature stabilizers and stiffening agents such as waxes and other inorganic fillers including silica and clays may also be added during manufacture. The composition includes glycerine preferably present in the range of 50-95 weight %.

Glycerine based jelly compositions

Described herewithin is a composition comprising an anti-chafing balm with C18-36 acid triglycerides, capric/carprylic triglycerides, and tribehinin together with a chelated silver oxide complex comprising a barrier film when applied to the skin. The film is a dual purpose antibacterial and anti-chafing barrier topically applied to human skin, providing a layer of chelated silver oxide complex further comprised of a dermatologically acceptable carrier, with friction (chafe) reducing properties, selected from the group consisting of organic solutions, gels, liquids, balms, aerosols, emulsifiers, lotions, water-in-oil emulsions, oil-in-water emulsions, surfactants, aloe barbedensis leaf juice and tocopherol acetate.

Antimicrobial anti-chafing chelated silver oxide compound

The jelly is a glycerine based jelly composition comprising; vegetable derived glycerine and an emulsifier, wherein the emulsifier can be any known and/or commercially available glucoside containing emulsifier. Other suitable emulsifiers together with glycerine and essential or vegetable based oils with or without inorganic fillers may also be added to the jelly to impart fragrance, color, UVA and UVB sun protection factor(s), immuno-enhancing aromatherapeutics, as well as free radical scavenging constituents. In addition, temperature stabilizers and stiffening agents such as waxes and other inorganic fillers including silica and clays may also be added during manufacture as required. The glycerine is preferably present in the range of 50-95%. Other ingredients which may be added include vitamins and provitamins, carotenoids, as well as aloe vera gel or juice.

A cleaning apparatus for cleaning of food-processing conveyor belts, particularly of metal conveyor belts used to convey bakery goods through baking ovens, includes an equipment carrier including pumping and vacuum equipment; mounts for mounting frame members carrying cleaning heads including cleaning and rinsing solution applicators, a brush, a splash shield, and vacuum heads; and, interconnections for connecting carrier-supported equipment to cleaning heads. In operation, cleaning heads are mounted to the mounts and are connected to the carrier-supported equipment; and, the conveyor belt is sprayed and soaked with a cleaning solution and left for a time before having the solution together with debris and residual and carbonized matter rinsed off and vacuumed up. Brushes brush the conveyor during cleaning and rinsing.
