Digital signage unit, such as for digital out of home advertising, with monitoring features are provided. The digital signage unit includes an electronic display, a shock sensor, and a controller which receives data from the shock sensor and determines, from time to time, an operating status of the digital signage unit based, at least in part, the data from the shock sensor.

Display assemblies with an incorporated lift box are disclosed, along with related systems and methods. The display assembly includes a common structure including and/or forming the lift box in a base thereof. An electronic display subassembly is connected to the common structure and includes a cover layer and an electronic display layer. Two such display assemblies may be arranged at a common surface such that an open end of the lift boxes faces in an at least substantially same direction. Forks of a forklift or pallet jack may be moved into the lift boxes for transporting the display assemblies together.

Display assemblies with replaceable covers are disclosed, along with related subassemblies, systems, and methods thereof. A cover subassembly for a display assembly includes a door frame, a plurality of clips, each removably installed to the door frame by fasteners, and a cover, a portion of which is sandwiched between a ledge of the door frame and a lip of each of the clips. The cover subassembly may be removed and replaced with a new cover subassembly. The cover of the removed cover subassembly may be replaced, such as at an offsite location, to generate a refurbished cover subassembly for subsequent installation to a same or different display assembly.

Bending mandrils and related bending machines and methods are disclosed, which include at least one ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW) material. The mandril, which may comprise or consist of the UHMW material, is placed within an interior of a structure to be bent before the structure is bent about a bending die of the bending machine. Kerf cuts may be provided at the mandril for added flexibility. Other components of the bending machine, such as the following block and/or the bending die may also include panels of surfaces comprising a same or different UHMW material.

Display assemblies and related systems and methods providing field leak testing are disclosed. An electronic display assembly includes an electronic display, a differential pressure sensor fluidly connected to an ambient environment and an internal area, and fan(s) located within, or fluidly connected with, the internal area. Differential pressure readings are taken before and while and/or after to command a speed of the fan(s) to be temporarily increased. Where an insufficient change is provided, indication of a probable leak is provided.

Display assemblies with enhanced fan control are disclosed. An electronic display is located within a housing. A controller receives readings from sensors located at an airflow pathway extending within the housing and determines which of the readings is, relatively, furthest from a predetermined, associated parameter. The controller drives fans located at the airflow pathway based on the relatively furthest one of the readings in accordance with a control scheme including reading-dependent, preprogrammed operating parameters for the fans.

Display assemblies with distributed airflow are provided. Side assemblies, each having a display layer located behind a cover are connected to a frame. A cavity is located, at least in part, between the side assemblies and spaced apart side panels of a frame. Open airflow pathways are fluidly connected to an ambient environment by way of an intake and extend, at least in part, along a rear portion of the electronic display subassembly of a respective one of the side assemblies to a respective one of exhausts. A closed airflow pathway includes the cavity and is fluidly separated from the ambient environment and the open airflow pathways, and extends, in part, within each of the side assemblies. A first set of fans is provided at or along the intake, and a second set of fans is provided at or along one of the side panels.

Display assemblies incorporating electric vehicle charging equipment

Display assemblies are provided which include subassemblies attached to a structural framework, each including a passageway and at least one of which also includes an electronic display layer, an illumination device, and a forward cover. A closed loop airflow pathway for circulating gas is formed by a rear passageway behind the subassemblies and the passageway of each subassembly. Fan units associated the subassemblies and positioned to cause flow of the circulating gas within the passageways of the respective subassemblies in a respective direction.

A display assembly is provided which includes a housing for an electronic display and a thermal management substructure. The thermal management substructure is located rearward of the electronic display and includes multiple components, which are secured to one another by a plurality of deposits of structural adhesive. Methods of manufacturing the thermal management substructure are also provided where structural adhesive is deposited between components of the thermal management substructure.

Display assemblies and related systems and methods are provided which provide condensation mitigation. A cover layer forms a forward portion of a housing for an electronic display located rearward of the cover layer. A continuous airflow pathway extends entirely within the housing such that the continuous airflow pathway is partitioned from an ambient environment. One or more gaskets are provided which, at least in part, partition the continuous airflow pathway from the ambient environment. The one or more gaskets extending from an interior surface of the cover layer to a portion of the housing.

Display assemblies for inhibiting delamination of an optical stack are disclosed. A structural framework defines, at least in part, an enclosure for the optical stack, which includes an electronic display layer. One or more airflow passageways are located within the enclosure and define a continuous, interconnected airflow pathway extending along one or more surfaces of the optical stack. One or more fan units are positioned along the continuous, interconnected airflow pathway, and when activated, move gas through the continuous, interconnected airflow pathway and generate compressive forces at the optical stack, thereby reducing the likelihood of delamination.

The digital signage unit includes an electronic display, a sensor for measuring tilt, and a controller which receives data from the sensor and determines, from time to time, an operating status of the digital signage unit based, at least in part, on the data from the sensor.

Display units for prioritizing requested operational updates are disclosed. A control subsystem is in electronic communication with an electronic display, sensor(s), and a thermal management subsystem. The control subsystem operates the display unit based on operational parameters which are specific to readings from the one or more sensors. Requests to update operational parameters for the display unit are received at the control subsystem and are prioritized for implementation.
