A filter with translating hooks is described. The filter can include strut members having first and second struts connected by a connecting portion. A translating hook is disposed adjacent the connecting portion of the strut members, the hook including a first elongate member attached at one end to the first strut and a second elongate member attached at one end to a second strut, the opposite ends of the elongate members connected together to define a tip. The translating hooks are configured to bend toward a central axis of the filter when the filter is in a collapsed configuration for delivery to a blood vessel and recovery from a blood vessel, and away from the central axis of the filter when the filter is in an expanded configuration within a blood vessel such that the hooks engage a vessel wall.

A filter with translating hooks is described. The filter can include strut members having first and second struts connected by a connecting portion. A translating hook is disposed adjacent the connecting portion at the strut members, the hook including a first elongate member attached at one end to the first strut and a second elongate member attached at one end to a second strut, the opposite ends of the elongate members connected together to define a tip. The translating hooks are configured to bend toward a central axis of the filter when the filter is in a collapsed configuration for delivery to a blood vessel and recovery from a blood vessel, and away from the central axis of the filter when the filter is in an expanded configuration within a blood vessel such that the hooks engage a vessel wall.

Apparatuses and methods for coating and/or loading a medical device with a therapeutic agent prior to or during the placement of the medical device within the patient's body. In one variation, the medical device is coated and/or loaded with a therapeutic agent while the device is positioned in a delivery apparatus. In another variation, the delivery apparatus comprises a reservoir for retaining a therapeutic agent. The user may release the therapeutic agent from the reservoir prior to or during the placement of the device to coat and/or load the device with the therapeutic agent.

Drug delivery system

An endoluminal prosthesis including a radially expandable frame and an anchoring member. The anchoring member includes a first arm attached to a first strut of the frame and a second arm attached to a second adjacent strut of the frame. The first arm is joined to the second arm to form a vessel engaging end that, together with at least a portion of the first arm and second arm, is directed toward a central axis of the frame in the frame's collapsed configuration.

Anchoring device for an endoluminal prosthesis

An anchoring device for incorporation into an endoluminal prosthesis to prevent migration thereof in a reliable way without the problems associated with intraluminal delivery of the prosthesis. The anchoring device allows smooth, efficient delivery of the prosthesis by providing an anchoring system that does not engage the delivery catheter or sheath upon deployment of the prosthesis within a body lumen.

The invention is an electroplating apparatus which partially submerges disks in the electrolytic solution, and provides electrical contact to the portions of the disk protruding above the solution. The disks are rotated during plating such that successive portions of the disk emerge from the solution, contact the electrical contact and then re-enter the solution. The disks are inserted into individual disk holders consisting of non-conductive shielding rings attached to a common bracket. The shielding rings are hinged such that the rings may be opened to insert the disks. When the disks are enclosed in the rings, they are supported by small non-conductive support wheels rotatably mounted in the rings. The rings remain stationary as the disks are rotated. To promote even plating, selectively-coated anode sheets are interleaved with the disk holding rings such that each holder has an anode sheet on either side.
