A method of transporting cargo, a cargo transport system and an unmanned Wing In Ground Effect vessel (UWIG) for transporting the cargo. A wake up signal indicates assignment of a new delivery. The UWIG begins pre-flight, causes cargo to be transported to the UWIG, and causes the cargo loaded into UWIG storage compartments. Once loaded and the loaded UWIG is ready, the UWIG taxis, e.g., to the open sea. Environmentally sealed PAR thrust fans provide PAR thrust during takeoff. The UWIG flies to a delivery location where cargo is unloaded, and may be stored.

Fault analysis for an electric network having a plurality of multi-phase buses is performed by computing equivalent circuits for the multi-phase buses of interest. Each equivalent circuit includes an N&#xd7;N impedance matrix, N corresponding to the number of phases of the multi-phase bus for which that equivalent circuit is computed. Elements of the impedance matrices are determined based on voltages resulting from a plurality of experimental current injection vectors and a factorized pre-fault admittance matrix. The pre-fault admittance matrix represents nodal admittance of the multi-phase buses without faults. A fault current injection vector for each multi-phase bus and fault type of interest is determined based on the equivalent circuit determined for that multi-phase bus. A fault voltage vector for each multi-phase bus and fault type of interest is determined based on the factorized pre-fault admittance matrix and the fault current injection vector determined for that multi-phase bus and fault type.

Fault analysis in electric networks having a plurality of multi-phase buses

The method of determining back-feed paths is capable of efficiently solving multi-layer restoration problems by minimizing a fitness function using an iterative genetic algorithm. The method optimizes back-feeding of out-of-service areas by minimizing power loss, switching, unserved loads and voltage/current violations. The efficiency of the algorithm is further increased through the use of a reactive Tabu search to prevent duplicate candidate systems.

Restoration switching analysis with modified genetic algorithm

A method for automatic protection coordination in a power system network comprises identifying radial source-to-load paths and fault protection devices in the source-to-load paths, for a portion of the power system network to be coordinated. Device settings data for fault protection devices are retrieved, including multiple preconfigured settings for some devices. Fault currents for each of multiple possible electrical faults in said portion of the power system network are predicted, and a selectivity check for each pair of fault protection devices that are adjacent to one another in an identified radial source-to-load path is performed, for each of one or more of the predicted fault currents, taking into account multiple preconfigured settings for remotely controllable fault protection devices. A combination of settings for remotely controllable fault protection devices that minimizes selectivity violations among the pairs is selected, and necessary change-setting commands are sent to remotely controllable fault protection devices.

However, if the knotter accidentally fails to tie a knot or the twine otherwise slips loose, the resulting slack will allow the arm to swing upwardly, and this motion may be used to trigger a switch for setting off an alarm or to raise a signal flag, either of which would indicate that the knotter needs attention.
