The crease recovery of fabrics can be improved using C -C saturated or unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbons which have melting points below 0&deg; C., such as squalane. The hydrocarbons may be included in garment care products adapted for use in a tumble dryer, such as flexible sheets, in sprayable formulations or in fabric care compositions, such as fabric conditioning compositions which comprise a fabric softening agent. Fabrics may be treated with the hydrocarbons as part of a domestic laundering process.

Crease recovery of fabrics

A fabric care composition comprises a perfume and a compound which is obtainable by the reaction of epichlorohydrin with an amine. The amine is a derivative of a polyamine in which at least one but not all of the amino groups bear long chain acyl groups. The compound or the composition may be used to soften and/or condition fabric during a laundering process.

Fabric care composition

A fabric care composition comprises an amine or amide-epichlorohydrin resin or derivative thereof, a silicone component and, optionally, a textile compatible carrier. The textile compatible carrier facilitates contact between the resin and a fabric. The composition is adapted for use in the rinse cycle of a laundering process and may be used, as part of such a process, in the treatment of fabric to reduce creasing of the fabric.
