A composition suitable for an air barrier such as an automotive tire innertube, innerliner, and aircraft tire innertube or innerliner, curing bladders, and other pneumatic devices is disclosed. The composition comprises an elastomer, a processing oil, and a grafted resin component.

Films disclosed herein contain a base or core layer comprising a first polypropylene, a second polypropylene, and a hydrocarbon resin. The base layers may also include other additives as described below. The first polypropylene is preferably a high crystallinity polypropylene having a melting point above about 155&#xb0; C. or a polypropylene having a polydispersity (Mw/Mn) greater than about 4.0. The second polypropylene may be any conventional polypropylene, preferably having a melting point below about 160&#xb0; C. and/or a polydispersity less than about 5.0.

Polypropylene films

The present invention relates to polypropylene copolymer alloys which are especially suited for soft fiber and fabric applications. These alloys comprise an ethylene-propylene random copolymer having an ethylene content of from about 1.0 to 5.0% by weight, in an amount of from about 40 to 90% by weight of the alloy; and an ethylene-propylene bipolymer having an ethylene content of from about 10 to 30% by weight, in an amount of from about 10 to 60% by weight of the alloy. The present invention further relates to fiber and fabric articles made from such alloys.
