An independent blood filter device depends on flow geometry to deliver blood serum or plasma free of detrimental levels of hemoglobin. It depends critically on an upstream flow rate or pressure differential limiting control element or device that limits the rate of change of pressure differential across the filter element. Pre-evacuated versions can be used to simultaneously draw blood from a living being and provide pressure differential across the filter element between an evacuated collector and a supply end open to atmosphere. A unit pressurized by hand motion employs the external shape of a partially filled blood collection tube as a piston to produce pressure in advance of the control element or device to create the pressure differential across the filter element to a collector vented to atmosphere. The control element or device is disclosed in numerous forms, including specially sized flow constrictions and compliant arrangements.

The present disclosure describes a scrubber system for removing material from, or smoothing the surface of, an object. According to an example embodiment, the scrubber system comprises one or more scrubbing disks, spacer disks, and retaining collars configured for interlocking with other cooperatively configured scrubbing disks and spacer disks. The scrubbing and spacer disks are arrangeable end-to-end along a shaft extending therethrough and between opposed retaining collars to form a scrubber custom-configured for a particular application. The scrubbing disks may include one or more types arranged, with or without any spacer disks, in any desired configuration. When the scrubbing disks and/or spacer disks are positioned adjacent one another end-to-end, lateral and end mating surfaces at the adjacent ends of the respective scrubbing and/or spacer disks abut one another, limiting relative rotation therebetween and substantially forming a single, contiguous outer surface that prevents removed material from becoming lodged therebetween.

A training wheel assembly for standard bicycles comprises training wheels connected by resilient legs to a dynamic compression fitting. The wheels project generally rearwardly and outwardly apart from the bicycle rear. Adjustable mounting brackets enable wheel height to be varied. The dynamic compression fitting comprises an adjustable flange section mounted to the bicycle frame within the standard trapezoidal void to the rear of the crank sleeve. A pair of yoke segments can be slidably adjusted to accommodate varying dimensions. An intermediate flexing section resiliently coupled beneath the flange section receives ends of the legs and establishes an up and down pivot. A damper section connected beneath the intermediate section comprises a rigid, tubular sleeve that slidably receives a tubular cap. A resilient grommet coaxially confined between the sleeve and the cap is compressed by an elongated through bolt coaxially penetrating the compression fitting. The bolt establishes a radial pivot.

Adjustable resilient bicycle training wheel assembly

A floor sign comprising two substantially similar panels and an engaged slidable locking bar. Each panel has a pair of closely spaced apart tabs with an aperture through each and a tab having a boss on both sides. The two panels engage each other at their upper end by interlocking the pair of tabs with the tab bosses. The upper portions of the panels are pivotably coupled. The locking bar has an upper horizontal section and a vertically depending section and is inserted between the two panels for maintaining the panels in a spaced apart deployed position or in a collapsed position. The floor sign is deployed by pressing downward on the locking bar to insert the bar between the panels, forcing them apart at a ridge on the inner face of each panel. The bar locks to maintain the lower ends of the panels in a spaced apart configuration. To collapse the sign a user lifts upward on the locking bar via a notch in the panels to release the locking bar and permit the panels to collapse toward each other.

A removably installed adjustable seat assembly for mounting at various positions within a small boat. The assembly provides an advantageous seating position for fishing, hunting and running a trolling motor. The seat assembly can be used in pairs at a front and rear of the boat to provide for comfortable seating for two in a advantageously spaced apart posture. The seat assembly is adjustable in two respects, an adjustable horizontal span between the seat and a nearest boat bench seat for abutting and supporting the assembly, and a level adjustment plate which adjusts relative height of the seat off of the boat's bottom. The assembly is secured to the boat by hose clamps tieing a stabilizer bar of the assembly to a rib of the boat. The assembly can also be installed with the seat directly over a bench seat of the boat, with the stabilizer bar tieing the assembly to the boat.
