Disclosed herein are ethylene-based polymers having a density greater than 0.945 g/cm, a high load melt index less than 25 g/10 min, a peak molecular weight ranging from 52,000 to 132,000 g/mol, and an environmental stress crack resistance of at least 250 hours. These polymers have the processability of chromium-based resins, but with improved impact strength and stress crack resistance, and can be used in large-part blow molding applications.

A self supporting film having one or more layers wherein at least one layer has a percent haze of less than 17.8 and the polymer of that layer consists essentially of a polyethylene having a density of at least 0.925 grams per cc, a molecular weight distribution of no more than 4, optionally containing a fluoroelastomer, and methods for making such film are disclosed.

Films comprising metallocene catalyzed polyethylene

Chromium catalyst compositions are provided. These chromium catalyst compositions comprise at least two chromium catalyst systems that have a certain amount of chromium and a support that comprises silica and titania. the supports have certain pore volumes and surface areas. These catalyst compositions are useful for homopolymerizing ethylene or copolymerizing ethylene with a comonomer. The resins produced are useful in film applications.

Chromium catalyst compositions and polymerization processes therewith

An ethylene polymer composition is provided, the composition being a blend of a first ethylene polymer and a second ethylene polymer, the second ethylene polymer characterized by molecules having long chain Y-branches. The blend can be prepared by an extrusion process in which a portion of the polyethylene fed to the process is irradiated and the irradiated and non-irradiated polymers are blended by melt extrusion. The blends exhibit high flow activation energies and good blow-molding properties.

Polymer composition and preparation method

Ethylene polymer blends of a high molecular weight ethylene polymer, preferably an ethylene-mono-1-olefin copolymer, and a low molecular weight ethylene polymer preferably an ethylene homopolymer, both preferably with narrow molecular weight distribution and low levels of long chain branching exhibit excellent film properties and good environmental stress crack behavior superior to that expected for polyethylene of comparable density and melt flow. These resins are useful for the manufacture of film or in blow molding techniques, the production of pipes and wire coating.
